Come back here in 5 years and there won't be an FKK. The ECNL is the best league in the nation with the best clubs.

$11,000 per seat and climbing for a soccer stadium. If Ocity had their finances in order they would have started construction already. They are over $10 million short and will be asking taxpayers for a larger contribution very soon.
Can't imagine Phil would allow his house of worship to be torn down.

They won't make it to next year. HM is giving away scholarships to any kid with talent, paying college coaches to appear and burning through much more cash than he is bringing in. It is how he got CFK in $100,000 debt and history is repeating itself at FKK. This time he does not have any millionaires to bail him out. By July, HM will have found a reason to leave town AND leave his members with a mountain of debt. In August, FKK will quietly disband with some spurious claim that OC kept them out of all the leagues or kept running up their legal bills. <yawn>

past predictions from the Purple concerning FKK:

-They'll never be able to start a club
-They'll never be able to get more than 100 players
          -They'll never attract good coaches.
          -They won't get player passes
-They won't be in any good tournaments
          -They're going broke
-They won't be able to get socks.
-They'll fold at the end of the season.

          and now:

-They won't be here in five years.

Thanks, we'll add it to the list. Keep 'em coming, okay?

            "<yawn>" is right!

You really seem to enjoy occasionally repeating this fantasy every few weeks. you seem to think vomiting the same discredited BS about CFK's "debt" ad nauseum will somehow give it credibility- but you like to go a step further and weave a tale about the future as well.

Clearly, you are nervous about a repeat of 2013's erosion of membership at your club. You think you can avoid another exodus by discrediting your rival in advance. How transparent and sad can you be?

We'll see, won't we? Too bad you post such silly thing anonymously- nobody can hold you accountable when your 'predictions" fail- as they all have.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out- a jury will decide the market value of the property. In these cases, the government almost always prevails, but the property owner usually gets more than the government valuation of the property.

So i guess this mean the stadium is already behind schedule and over budget.
Any updates on Orlando City tearing down the Church to build their private stadium.

Really, no new material. How about something original for once.

Lets see, Director, BOD member, father of a U16 player, or U18 player which one could it be.

200 million to renovate the Citrus Bowl and MLS won't allow us to use this brand new location. This makes no business sense for Orlando. Our politicians have been sold a bill of goods. This happens often with politicians. I bet OC ends up using the Citrus bowl when it makes monetary sense for them.

The new stadium only seats 18,000. Higher ticket cost ( Law of supply and Demand ) will be forth coming.

Our City ( Orlando ) must be rolling in money to spend this kind of money!

mark it down in your favorite places. Post#5582. Come back to it at the end of the summer and rub it in everyone's face. Unfortunately for you, I will be the one showing your post to the FKK faithful saying that they had been warned and decided to listen to a tall tale told by a dream weaver with a checkered past.

What happened with VSI Brandon? Rumor has it the club is going under after the English coaching directors took over.

The main thing is that we did it and had better seasons than your daughters. All u18 ladies are signing on feb 5th and I think the next couple of age groups will parallel that success. Maybe not 100% but hopefully for my kids sake we get close.

You do need to hope FKK succeeds because unless you are one of those parents in denial, our girls going back to OCYS would mean purple, FCA, or ACY whatever for you.

You all understand that US Soccer wants the ECNL and DA programs to recruit? It is coming from US Soccer. US Soccer views ECNL and DA as a replacement for ODP.

Why is a church so special? Not as if we don't have a gazillion of them in Florida.

People's homes are far more important.

What the English don't understand about youth and professional soccer in America is that they are not intertwined like they are across the pond.

In England the neighborhood soccer club is both a youth and semiprofessional club. Youth, primarily males, progress through the youth club and potentially play within the adult semiprofessional club teams. The fortunate ones, again primarily males, may progress onward and be traded/sold/transferred to bigger and better clubs as either youth or young adult players.

American youth soccer does not have this tradition or history. Youth soccer is leisure activity financed by parents for the their children here. The parents loyalty is to their child and is devoid of history and tradition to a local club. The infancy of the MLS and subservient leagues provides a small window of opportunity to play and a professional level, again only for males.

OCYS continues to try and build a franchise and a club based upon history and tradition that is not a shared experience with the parents of the youth players. Soccer in America is growing but still exists on the periphery of sports culture. Their youth customers, whom are parents, have little historical understanding and appreciation for the game. Parents in America are loyal to their child and have minimal understanding and desire to elevate the club.

Best of luck to Ocity with MLS, but their entry into and mismanagement of the youth club will continue as it is based on a flawed perception of sports and leisure here in America.
