First off, the player was very close to being offside. He started his run in his own half but your son's pass was late so the player was right at the line. He was offside from my vantage point, but it was very close. The ref had no linesman on that side and he shouldn't have been questioned about that call.

But let's be absolutely clear about who threw the first blow. The coach definately got into the referee's face after he was red carded, but he did not touch the referee until after the ref head butted him. This was witnessed by both benches and for anyone close to the action this fact is not in dispute. My guess is the starter of this thread was the fat guy in the blue shirt that went charging across the field to insert himself into the fight like some half-***ed Rambo. He was on the complete opposite side of the field and would not have been able to see the head-butt from his angle.

I don't condone the coach's actions, he was out of line and initiated the confrontation. However, 2 wrongs don't make a right and the referree should also be suspended.

Or perhaps those kids just wanted to play in a more relaxed atmosphere without having to pay $1,000 to be told their kid is better than everyone else. What an incredibly ignorant comment.

              Spin.

Circling the wagons around the 'Purple Patch". Dozens of witnesses report it the other way- but who are you going to believe- a lowly referee and eyewitnesses, or the majestic "professionally-run youth soccer club with a PR staff that is bringning MLS to orlando and will soon have 10,000 members"?

Dozens? I have only read accounts from two who claim witnessed it.

This account makes more sense to me as I was wondering how the coach got injured. At least this account explains this.

Really, what dozens of witnesses? If you were there, where were you? The head-butt occured first, I saw it and most everyone else on that side saw it too. If the ref was in a head lock, which he was until they were seperated, how did the coach get a cut on his forehead? Stop fabricating the facts.

80 of 149 teams are u12 and younger (54%). The good news is the tournament will go much quicker with this many 8v8 matches and two games per field.

did you not see the dozens of people on the sideline (right next to you) who witnessed the Orlando City Coach blow his stack, aggressively charge the referee and start the altercation? Everyone saw what happened. You're just trying to obscure the facts to shift blame to the referee.

So you admit your campaign to have the tournament cancelled failed completely?

Good you've passed your denial stage. However, you seem to have netered a math phase which is not normally part of the stages of acceptance.

Reading comprehension not your strong suite eh? Both are to blame, and if you checked your anger management problems (ironic given the topic of this thread) for a second you would understand why the Police rightfully decided not to press charges against either party. And before you say something to make yourself look even more stupid, just because the "victims" decided not to press charges doesn't mean the police couldn't have charged either party based upon witness statements and other evidence.

What makes you think I'm "angry"? I'm amused by your amateurish attempt at spinning this sad event. Next thing you know, the Lyin' will try to tell us the referee was at fault for baiting the coach into a fight.
