Why do you folks insist on the name-calling? All i've suggested is that Orlando City Youth Soccer Club do the right thing- take a proactive approach to this ugly incident and demonstrate leadership and respect for the club's core values.

i know the membership doesn't support the idea of coaches charging the pitch, abusing refereees and getting into physical altercations. I'm sure the majority of coaches and staff doesn't approve. What's wrong with doing the right thing and demonstrating some integrity?

Instead, the only voices being heard are the ones calling names and trying to sweep this under the rug.

The only factual thing about this whole incident is that OC has addressed the issue. The Monday following the incident they posted a discussion on their website to educate members and coaches about game conduct. This was obviously in response to that incident.

I have heard nor seen anything concrete or factual about what actually took place on the field. How minoor or severe is unknown. Obviosly any altercation, even verbal, is not acceptable behavior. Any responsible organization evaluates facts from reliable sources before taking action.

Since OC has clearly taken steps to educate its members regarding this conduct, we can only assume they are also addressing the matter with the individual coach. Their actions support a desire to confront the issue and deal with it.

Sensationalizing it on TS only inflames the issue and makes the extemist on both sides look like just that, extremist wackos. So far the only persons I see complaining on here are just those trying to create more conflict.

And lets face it, this is just being used by those that hate OC to sling mud and enflame hatred. But, I am sure OC will jump at the same chance if, and when, it arises at FKK. This was my sane post. I will probably jump back in later to aggravate both sides because you guys/gals make it so easy to create havoc.

Maybe so, but the way I read it- there were a couple posts concerning ECNL funding that had conflicting information, but neither seemed to be throwing bombs or saying anything bad about it. So why does this make them trolls?

Sounds to me that the coach lost control due to a bad/marginal call and then yelled/approached the ref. The ref then physically assualted the coach (all witnesses that have posted state the coach was the only one bleeding).

Coaches yell at refs all the time, even the most mildest of coaches. However, that never excuses a headbutt.

HOWEVER, the bottom line here is that unless you were there then you do not know what happened as even those that were there have conflicting accounts. So why are we still talking about it? Because the usual OC haters will never let this go, not out of concerns for the laws of the game nor about the kids but due to their petty obsession with OC.

Just saying im on the team and im 14 what happened is the Ref was keep on threatning the coach and no the coach didnt come from behind like a pussy. The ref then headbutted him and the coach retaliated. Anyone would do that Just put aside it was a coach and a ref if someone attacked you you would fight back. And youre calling my coach a fat redneck? He would hand your ass to you. So youre just gonna disrespect him despite he is a ex military and served for your country

purple polo. First of he was not wearing a purple polo he was wearing a grey jersey. And he was not arrested because he later
talked with us later that night. And Js the goal we conceded wasnt a brilliant finesse shot our keeper just came out to far and git chipped
pretty simple not spectacular.

Like I said, people use this to push their agenda. The do not really care about the ref, the coach, the spectators, and especially the kids. They care about their own personal agenda of hatred. It makes them feel as if they are big and powerful to sit behind a computer screen where they cannot be confronted. If they care so much, go to a board meeting and express their feelings. They wont, cowards never do.
