So much hatred was fostered the past two days towards Orlando City. FKK was forced to use outfield of baseball fields for tryouts since GB told CWP that OC needed fields A,B,C, D at CWP.

OC had a total of 22 kids trying out under Halfwit at CWP. OC could of used 1/4 of a field but selfishly choose to NOT allow your kids to use proper fields.

GO CITY!

GO ECNL CITY!!! Hue was smart letting OC choke on ECNL while creating a showcase schedule with a budget showing the cost will be less.

Well he couldn't get any teams into Dallas last year as he had promised so maybe he will have better luck with unranked teams. That should help his cause tremendously!

Mike McAvoy is on a mission after being fired at Orlando City. Grass root programs being started within 7-8 miles of CWP/Shane Kelly Park.

I am a new FKK member, and I think you're a bit overconfident here.

No matter what, I would expect OCYS to lose some mebership because of the FKK startup. OCYS will remain large, of course- but I expect FKK to ahve a respectable first year membership.

As someone who decided to keep my child at OC I have a few things to say:

1) OC made a ton of mistakes in their first year, some big, some small, some other clubs make also, some unique to OC. I was not happy either and understand those who left.
2) My views on FKK - Competition & choice is a good thing, I think it is a good thing. I hope both clubs are driven to succeed.

This will almost certainly fall on deaf ears but I would like this constant hatred to stop. Rivalry, even unfriendly rivalry, is great and i am not asking for kum-bah-yah but the absolute viciousness does no one any credit. All I ask is that you just keep that in mind before posting.

Hopefully the end of tryouts will be a little cartharsis and it will die down a bit.

I agree. We were with OC last year but instead chose to G to FKK. I wish both clubs a successful season. Competition between them should ultimately lead to better programs as they try to provide better service than the other guy.

Call it what you want but it's the truth. His list of tournaments last year included Dallas Cup and Atlanta. The Atlanta tournament was a bust since the Final four had moved on and we couldn't even get our best teams into the Dallas Cup.

This was his schedule for the club that he failed to research there is no if/was/were's or buts about it. For the sake of my friends who left with him I hope does a better job at selecting a real schedule this year.

Maybe- but I expect FKK as the underdog to work harder- it is the new club that has something to prove. We joined FKK to be part of it- to be involved in helping build the club from scratch. We like volunterring, but didn't feel welcome at OC.

OTOH- OC should be working hard to clear the air of last year. Will they? I don't think so, which is why I left. I think the club management has positioned it for one objective: The DA will feed the pro side and aid the pro club in getting an MLS franchise.

the youth club is a tool to reach a goal- it is not viewed as a worthy goal for it's own sake. Just my opinion.

Time will tell.

I'm convinced that the only people who read or post on these boards are from either FKK, OC, or FCA and have already made up their minds. I honestly don't think many people come here with one thought and leave with another ... except to have less faith in society as a whole.
