If not for ACYS winning the bid for Trotters Park OCYS may have had a different tryout this year. The defections from FCA have flooded the void left by the departures to FKK at OCYS.

Go look at your new affiliate's, or patner's, or whatever you want to call it, "Creeks" thread. Squabbling over U11G, U12G soccer. Same tones of desperation and frustration. The similarities between the psychosoccer parents at CCA and FKK are almost too eery to be real.

Those of us who chose to stay at OC are very happy with our decision. If you left then please stop your obsession with our club and our teams. Its beyond crazy how you continue to trash the club and players. We are great without you, please go focus on your new team!!!!

I know i have only a limited perspective- because I only have a single player to be concerned about- but I can say that last night fully 40% of my kid's OC team and 60% of the other OC team in the same age group committed to FKK, including the core of the defenses and midfields. Combined with FCA and Maitland kids, this should roster two solid teams.

Probably different with other age groups- some more, some less. But since FKK is a startup, ANY kids the club rosters takes from other clubs- especially OC. I think when things settle and everyone has signed, we'll see FKK has had a pretty decent first year tryout.

I hope you are referring to the girls side? Because on the boys side, FKK won't stand a chance. They took all the kids/parents that knew their child would not make the OC first team. Basically, the leftovers from OC. Good Luck!!!!!

Girls Side

I will speak about the rising U13 girls teams at FCA, FKK and OC. FKK is average at best. Not a lot of talent but potential. OC will not have a strong top team because they are going to take the top 4-6 players and move them to U14 ECNL. FCA has talent but coaching is the question.

what does all of this mean.....choose a team and know that there are always going to be good and bad things at each club. We choose to stay at OC and will give it one more year.

Guess you weren't at the same tryouts as I was. OC will have a tough time fielding more than one team in many age groups.

well, since Rush and OCYS have a DA, and did a decent job of managing it (The obvious focus for the Club), it would make sense they would have a strong turnout for boys, right?

It would also follow that OC, with it's ECNL affiliation should have the strongest shot at girls' talent. Unfortunately as we all know it was a debacle last year and as a result the girls are scattered among several clubs.

ACYS had good turnout for boys and girls side but only in specific age groups.

Especially the boys U-15/16/17. Almost 100 players.

So much hatred was fostered the past two days towards Orlando City. FKK was forced to use outfield of baseball fields for tryouts since GB told CWP that OC needed fields A,B,C, D at CWP.

OC had a total of 22 kids trying out under Halfwit at CWP. OC could of used 1/4 of a field but selfishly choose to NOT allow your kids to use proper fields.

Why do you post such obsurd things? I wish Mike well as he's a good guy but the club isn't getting anywhere close to 600 premier players. That's 33 teams at 18 kids a piece. Does that even seem remotely possible? Yea I didn't think so.
