Time for Ocity to come clean....

      1) Own the fact that OCity real attendance is averaging less than 5,000 per game.
      2) Own the fact that you are over inflating your attendance based upon the membership of the youth club.
      3) Own the fact the real issue here is that 750 kids left OCYS and you can't report that ticket sales drop to MLS, Orange County or the City of Orlando as it would devastate your stadium deal.

Looks like the Orlando Sentinel is figuring out the Lion is cowardly.

Own it, just own up to it.

The conservatives support a number of useless projects that our tax payer money goes to. Things that the ultra rich enjoy and something's that are barely used. Soccer games are enjoyed by all levels of income and I am happy to allow some of my tax money to support this effort over all the hundreds of other things that I will NEVER utilize in any way. It surprises me that if you support Mls, you can't see the positive economic impact this could have on our city. I will probably not see you Saturday night. I will be at the OC game even if it rains!

It surprise me that you don't see a few simple thing that are very clear. Orlando does not have the population to support MLS. They do not have the support of enough people in Orlando to support a team. If they do get MLS it will fail because it takes money to run the team and with no fans that equals no support. The numbers do not lie. Soccer is very small in this town, everyone knows everyone and not enough people are going.

The 2nd thing that is also very clear is that the people running OC are not very well liked in the community. This much is clear. It is not just FKK folks, it is other businesses they have had bad dealings with, other city governments such as Deltona who they owe over 20,000 dollars, and youth leagues that they have threatened with lawsuits.

Going back to Austin these people have a long history of cheating and stealing.

Yes I to love soccer but the price is to high and it will fail.

We are swayed by promises and talk if caring about our family but in reality they care about their paychecks and status. I understand politics and welcome to the world of politics. I am all for Mls, I believe that fkk is all against it simply because they aren't in power at the youth club. They are trying to ruin gear things because of tiny selfish needs. They don't care about ethics in soccer. That is what is funny.
You have to understand that fkk seems to be composed of some of the crazy surroundings including coaches and the parents. Feel bad for the kids there. They live on this site. Relax and let it go.

This is a true statement. PR got ran out of town in Austin. He was not liked at all.

Most clubs require their teams to attend their own clubs tournaments. Just the way it is. Live with it.

The City Cup was a rugby league competition involving Australian premiership teams. The post season tournament was a regular feature in the years 1912 - 1925. City Cups were also played in 1937, 1942 and 1959.

Failure.....live with it, sound like BH posting on this website.

I am sorry, you are talking to a season ticket holder for the last two years. I am able to support the club and want an MLS team without we the tax payers having to foot the bill for the field. This is a private company and as such should have to pay for their own stadium. The only positive impact from an MLS team will be the two years of building the actual stadium. Once the stadium is built there will be no more economic impact except for OC. You can buy into the line from the front office, but the there wont be people coming to MLS games from outside the area. The only economic impact will be the redistribution of money from one form of entertainment to another. Instead of someone going to dinner and a movie they are using the same money to go to a soccer game. You should probably do some research to see how economists say what a waste of money it is for taxpayers to build stadiums for their teams.

So its ok to add another to the list of bad financial decisions, that is what your saying. Might as well go further in debt is your rallying cry.

Attendance figures matter because the entire case for investing in a stadium depends on new tourist dollars coming to town to watch MLS.
With a Big Time Brazilian owner as stated numerous times by OC and so many visiting Brazilians to Central Florida over the past 12 months why don't we get any Brazilian fans now??? Seems like a fair question to ask our own Factual Phil

Does OC count the Florida Rush players as ticket sales?

The Whitecaps play their games in BC Place, which is a multipurpose football stadium that went under some renovations and that can seat 55,000. They were hoping to get a stadium built for the 2016 MLS season, but have signed a new lease with BC Place because of public opposition to building a new stadium. You see they already have a stadium that they can use, just like OC.
Just checked above post and it's correct. Google Whitecaps MLS stadium. This google thing really works. I'm finding all kinds of interesting information.
