The lower bowl holds between 16k -18k people. It was very crowded on Sunday. That apparently doesn't make someone happy.

Are you really saying that the lower section was only 25-30 percent full? Can anyone else confirm that? I wasn't there on Sunday, but every game I have been to the lower section has been at least 50% full, which would be around 7,000 to 7,500 people. Those numbers correspond with the announced attendance at the games I have been to. Remember that they announce the attendance toward the end of the game. By that point, some people have left (to get kids in bed, miss traffic, etc.) But the attendance is based on the number of people who enter the gates, not the exact number of people who are still there when they announce the number.

Originally posted by Unregistered View Post"At least 50% full" is a ridiculous statement. At all of the games I have been to there is nowhere near 50% of the lower bowl filled. You may think that just looking at the areas occupied, but stop and think about the empty seats all around where you're sitting. You've got you and the 2 or 3 people you're sitting with, you all have your feet on the seats in front of you, there's no one in the seats immediately behind you, and there's 2 or 3 empty seats on each side of you. So that's 3 or 4 of you sitting in an area of about 12 - 20 seats. no one in that stadium is sitting elbow-to-elbow.
"50% full" would mean butts in every seat. Nobody does that- except possibly the drunken mob who are there to chant "f-you, a--hole" at the opposing GK. every time I've attended, the four of us take up at least a dozen seats.
