The people at fkk are not wanting what is best for soccer but is best for them. It is a fact that there are bad people everywhere but as parents we want what is best for our kids. We are swayed by promises and talk if caring about our family but in reality they care about their paychecks and status. I understand politics and welcome to the world of politics. I am all for Mls, I believe that fkk is all against it simply because they aren't in power at the youth club. They are trying to ruin gear things because of tiny selfish needs. They don't care about ethics in soccer. That is what is funny.

I support Ocys and Mls. I do not live the politics is government or soccer but my kid is doing well and there is nothing I would like better than being able to go to an Mls game. I don't go to the magic, never been to the predators, don't know if there is anything else in Orlando but I watch soccer.

I have nothing against MLS and OC...I just don't believe we should pay for it as tax payers. Pretty easy really.

We care about our paychecks? That was about the only thing accurate and understandable and if you don't then simply DONATE or give to charity like I do but at least it is your choice.

I have my tickets for the game and am getting ready for tailgating. It is a fun time and we actually get to tail gate this week because of no late game conflicts for my kids. These people don't appreciate the opportunity we have because they are so caught up in their petty youth squabble. They don't care about anyone but them. We all have read it here repeatedly and I am just sad by that. I want Mls. Sorry it isn't the perfect path but we need to get it. If for any reason we lost this opportunity because of certain individuals efforts from the youth soccer world, I hope somebody puts that effort into getting rid of them from our community.

The last three minor-league teams to join MLS saw big attendance jumps in their first MLS season. The Vancouver Whitecaps went from 5,149 to 20,406.

Johnson, who is negotiating a potential lease with the team, said it won't hurt City Hall's bottom line if fans don't show up. The lease will likely charge the team a flat rental fee, and if the city doesn't break even, the team would have to pay the city the difference.

You probably shouldn't have picked the Whitecaps to make your point. The Whitecaps play their games in BC Place, which is a multipurpose football stadium that went under some renovations and that can seat 55,000. They were hoping to get a stadium built for the 2016 MLS season, but have signed a new lease with BC Place because of public opposition to building a new stadium. You see they already have a stadium that they can use, just like OC.

You and so many on here seem to think that all of the push back is from parents of the new club. I support OC wanting an MLS team, and I support them building a stadium to play the games. What I don't support is public money being used for the construction of a stadium for a private business. I am very surprised that with the overwhelming number of conservatives in the state how it is that there are very many people supporting this. If you like myself are truly a fiscal conservative you will not support this proposal of wasted public funds.

Well I don't feel like I should have to pay for football, performing arts, etc, but I do want my efforts and money to go to soccer if I have a choice. Your money will go somewhere and btw, this is tourist dollars we are taking about, why not make sure it goes to a sport that we support. I don't like American football, I don't even watch basketball on tv. Tou don't support Mls, if you did you would be behind this. Our taxes have gone into every American sport for years and now it is time for soccer. Once again our tourist taxes but I am ok with that.

I would ask this, did you let your county commissioners know that you were opposed to those things that you don't like. If you did then good for you, and if you didn't then you have nobody to blame but your self. Just because our taxes have gone to other sports does not make it right. The reasons you give here for giving them the money to build a stadium are the same reasons why Washington has managed to put our country in such debt. They all say that we should cut spending until it comes to their pet project, and then it is necessary and can't be cut. I for one am not willing to spend public money just because others have for similar projects. I didn't think it was right for those projects, and I don't think it is right for this one, no matter how much I enjoy soccer.

I have a serious question for you, why would you come on TS and say that, and why would you go to the city of Winter Springs. If you have information that a coach is dating a person under age why wouldn't you go to the club and let them know or go to the parents of the child. This is a very serious claim that you are making, and if you do have information and haven't brought it forward then aren't you just about as bad. I would also say that before you bring such serious accusations about someone that you have proof and not just rumor. No matter how you feel about a club or person in a club, this is still a persons life you are talking about.

Just because the money is collected from tourists, which are the economic engine of the area, that means we should not be fiscally responsible with it? We should just spend it because it was collected off the actions of tourists?

The Ocity stadium deal is wasteful. Plain and simple and it is becoming obvious that Ocity does not have the attendance to justify MLS or a stadium plan. Too much purple and red spin for me. There is a big difference between public relations and real business dealings.

If the health and welfare of a minor is in jeopardy you have a moral responsibility to inform the authorities. Please act if this is a real issue.
