In the article for the DA they stated that the President of RUSH helped to get the academy at OCYS does that mean that Rush/CFK /FSA will merge into one super club?

rush could only hope to merge with them or anyone(other than FCA) just to get rid of the management. Its a toss up which is worse rush or FCA but edge goes to fca for the worst run club.

(also keep in mind the OC lions goalie trainer/ asst. coach is the rush boys DOC.

How long will it be before he is over at OCYS though.

          Hello, anybody home?

Florida Rush helps OCYS attain USSDA approval.

What? Simply out of the kindness of Rush's heart?

You can bet your bottom dollar something's in the works between Rush and OCYS.

If nothing else, following tryouts, see how many Rush players from 2011-12 end up on OCYS' USSDA teams.

Would not be at all surprised to see OCYS and FL Rush merge.

I wouldn't be surprised either- except I'm not sure what Rush brings to the table that OCYS won't already have. They got the academy, and they will have all the best players without any merge or aquisition with Rush.

If you heard all you would know that Rush and OCYS players from U16-18 will merge as one team. At the younger ages both clubs will develop players under USDA to merge the elite players onto one team at the U16 age. Hence take it as both clubs operating with one purpose acting almost as satellite fields to bring the top kids together when old enough. Makes complete sense.

That would certainly be a different approach- and I hope they can make it work.

funny merging the black teams with the nike teams, really who will be top dog when they all think they are, and the swoosh and white when the white think they're better then the black teams and swwoosh is mediocre equivilant to their red team, so will it work with all those egos??

Not at younger ages but at U16 age it has to work to be competitive at the National level the best talent must be grouped together.

So OCYS and Rush intend to exclude kids other than Rush or OCYS from USSDA? Frankly, as of now, the combined OCYS/Rush players won't field central Florida's most elite for 2012-13 USSDA.

For the DA (and ECNL, too)- the Club needs to set an expectation of "clean slate and level playing field". If everyone accepts that no-one is safe, no roster is set and that everyone needs to bring their best to tryouts, then it will work. if people make assumptions based on past standing, many will be dissapointed and possibly angry.

of course, there's bound to be some hurt feelings and acrimony (maybe mine). But it's better to get things off to the right start than to allow people to believe it's a closed system and totally political.

OC Super Y is more than twice the amount of any other super y team in the entire state. Other clubs are charging $200.00 to $250.00 to play super y and OC charging $600.00.
Just heard it will cost $43,000 per year to play for OCS
