If I was a bayside parent I would be embarrassed that they lost. Those girls ran their mouths to our daughters and we just showed them up being scrappy. This team is brand new and played terrible yesterday but they are way better than that and will work on their skill! Good luck girls!

Just keep playing long ball!! That's why the US is way behind other countries. Parents and coaches promoting the wrong way to play. You should be embarrassed. Soccer people read this and say oh my god, these parents are so clueless.

Then you have parents with no clue putting their initials on comments.

This quote and about ten other quotes on this forum are exactly why US will never over come European teams on a national stage. And is why Rhode Island Club soccer is viewed as a joke to the rest of the country. Without being at the game myself and from reading these post it sounds like bayside tried to play good soccer with some success and made two or three errors trying to play good soccer and paid the price. On the other hand you have lusitana parents acknowledging the fact that their team played no soccer worked very hard and won the game. With the exception of the one gentleman JL are happy with the performance and see no problem with winning at all cost regardless of development. That’s like cheating your way through school and passing every grade without learning at the same level as your classmates but it’s ok you still have a diploma you are just now behind and read a 8th grade level. To top it off the worst part is your parents being ok with it or even worst telling you to cheat. Soccer in the US is screwed! Even old women in England know what good soccer looks like and how it should be played there is no alternative to playing soccer the right way in other countries.

Well, it's official - soccer in the US is screwed.

But Soccer Ballet is where it's at!

This joker is taking the Bayside statment that they played "proper" soccer at face value. Perhaps Bayside actually played very poorly, completed only the easiest of passes, and took the opportunity to pass when they should have taken a shot. While in their minds they played "proper soccer," in reality they may have just performed really poorly. Lusitana deserved the win at every level. And by the way, which European team has the US had trouble with?

JL, don't respond to that nitwit. You know way more than he ever will. Just cuz he wears a Xara sweatsuit.....

Actually, I hear Xara is coming out with a line of Soccer Ballet tutu's.

England is not the home of good soccer. Unfortunately, we have come to think of England as a model. Another problem with the leadership of US Soccer. Most of the best players in England come from other countries. the English would view a scrappy team defending well and defeating a superior opponent very well, as you often see this in the EPL. One game or one tournament does not make a team, but Lusitania can certainly build on a game like this.

Obviously, he is confusing the sport of soccer with "Soccer Ballet".

Well if training outcomes counted sounds like you would be undefeated. Problem is at a game
(you know like last night) another team shows up. So, keep racking up the training session wins and we will take the actual game wins. As an aside, my goodness you Bayside people are so arrogant. Now the Lusitana win was not good enough because it did not conform to the Bayside opinion as to what winning soccer is.

I have to agree with JL, and others. Its not like bayside played great in the first place. I am just a spectator with respect for both teams.
