While the expansion of the ECNL adds convenience for some families - it really makes it tough for both Bucks and Delco to get stronger. Gonna be hard for both bucks and Delco to pull themselves out of the basement.
Or perhaps this was ECNL's way of starting the process of "finishing off" Bucks and Delco

More likely, the ECNL is using decreased travel as an excuse for increased $$$

One of them is going. If not 2020-21 then it will be the following year. This is a fact. The betting line favors - Bucks out

Agreed, ECNL NE conference is PDA's conference and everyone else is in the conference is there at PDA's pleasure. Given FC Bucks geographical location relative to PDA and PDA South, it is hard to imagine FC Bucks remaining beyond this year. Keeping FC Bucks this year allows ECNL to scale down travel distance in line of what will be required/tolerated due to CV19 - but beyond that, FC Bucks is out.

With the south turf falling through and given the lack of current turf availability the betting lane may be right. Facilities have always been a problem for Bucks .

Bucks are in for the next 5 years minimum. I do know that.

There is no proof that any such iron-clad 5 year deal exists. It is wishful thinking. The reality is, if PDA wants FC Bucks out of ECNL, then FC Bucks will be gone from ECNL.

If PDA wanted Bucks out, that would have happened. It did not. These leagues are about making money. Club soccer is a business.

Yes but they don’t want it being stinky like it’s been for last few years. Might have to drop some dead weight eventually.

I think wanted close geographical proximity for the near term (1 year) followed by improved NE conference in subsequent years. It wouldn't surprise me if FC Bucks has 1 year left in ECNL - unless the turn around is drastic.

It's a region that needs to be covered and FC Bucks has it locked down. FC Bucks made the changes and the league is happy. Focus on quality at the younger age groups will mean better teams down the road in ECNL. Parents no longer need to pull their kids and take them to NJ, Norristown or Downingtown. This is a big win for people in Bucks County.

Rumor has it Bucks was forced to make changes or they would get the boot from ECNL - The hiring of the new DOC and clean sweep of the old coaches was a step in the right direction- the field piece is still missing, and quite concerning to the ECNL brass.

Perhaps the FC Bucks teams will be better - they can only go up. But their geographic footprint is still very limited. PDA pulls from Bucks County, all over NJ, NYC area, Long Island and even into CT. How does FC Bucks put together a team from just Bucks County that can compete with the best players from such a larger geographic area?

The last note that went out from the new DOC to the club included this explanation:

"These changes were made by decisions that the board formalized due to a requirement for the reshaping of the club."

Which I interpret as "FC Bucks is conforming to a list of ECNL ultimatums."
