Ummmmm.... obviously it is totally superior for many of these families which is why they do it. On LI, two of the three (now two) gdas also had to allow players to play HS and then join the "superior" option late to survive. (Was not enough in the end for one of them but they gave it a try).

There seems to be enough "superior" minded families for only one of these LI gdas to thrive

Lol, USSF fails to continue the development of the top players that another league hands them on a platter and the solution is to have USSF oversee ALL their training??? Lmfao
GDA in its current state is not the answer. All USSF did was take the same players and coaches from ECNL and subtract 1 game and add 1 practice...

So, ECNL "trains" players for 10 years, and GDA has them for 1...and you think GDA is at fault.

Never said GDA was at fault, said USSF was. Lack of proper scouting, mediocre regional training centers, lack of consistency, etc. And lets be honest, USSF couldn't have been terribly disappointed with the job ECNL was doing if they handed out almost every GDA badge to an ECNL club in its inception. Like I said, same clubs, same coaches, same players all USSF did was rejigger the playing schedule.

have you actually watched these players play for Club and YNTs? Did you watch the games? or are you just listing the results. A big part of elite play is coaching and tactics. The USA tends to put its players in position to fail tactically. Most of these players are worse for the NT than they are elsewhere.

and btw...u20s played Germany 2x this weekend. a 1-0 win and a 1-3 loss. Germany scored 2 goal in stoppage time to break open a 1-1 game. Just because it was not written about does not mean it did not happen

Always the same response -- like clockwork. Situation sucks for the top players as well as benchwarmers. Come up with something new.

Exactly. "Sorry your kid got cut" or "is a benchwarmer".

                          Comeback of the simple-minded.

get thumped? one one game lost another. Hardly getting thumped.
