How many times do those track stars get a ball to their feet that clangs out of bounds off of their shin or ricochets right to a defender. Speed definitely kills, but track stars with no hands and/or that can not take a hit are useless in football and track stars with no feet are mostly useless in soccer (sometimes can be a decent CB .... just don't expect to play out of the back with that kid).
Me thinks your kid gets benched in favor of the fast kid, lol

If you can't keep the ball, pass or shoot well, you're not a soccer player

How many times have the faster bigger kids become average soccer players by high school? Too many to count.

All you have to do is put a speed bump in front of her and she does nothing.

Of course. Because there was no other league that didn't allow it then.

Reality is GDA is now in a no-win situation. If they win the next WC with more GDA players playing than are today, then the message will be how great they have always been. If they don't, then it's GDA's fault.

The point is that for him to say that the US should do what The Netherlands and the rest of the world is doing to build their national team seems misplaced. It's basically saying "we are the best, but we should be doing what the second-best program is doing".

The next WC still won't have many if any GDA players. Even on the MNT they're only just now starting to see some impact with the younger NT teams but not the full squad that is mostly older.

so according to you ONE tournament determine who has the best "program"? NED and SPA going from close to zero to very relevant in 4-8 years is how you should value programs. The USA program needs to be looked at a lot deeper than just who won the WWC. You may still arrive at your conclusion, but it is not a simple as you imply

The next USWNT that plays in WC will not have any gda players...maybe by 2027

Girls goal is College. CR here also basically says HS and College are the same. So should we not play college too? Again, boys is definitely and clearly different.
