and no I'm not with PDA. Frankly I don't think I've ever seen a school so intertwined with a single club before, but it's worked extremely well for them this year.

And you mentioned a few that spent majority of their college career at other schools (so i would say trained for college level there and not pda).
But here is the kicker, if so successful, why not successful before now? The coach did not just bring in these kids and did not just become pda (dir of coaching)? This has been going on for over 10 yrs.
They have hosted a lot of big10 tournaments but have yet to win it despite having the direct club feed.

I don’t believe there is a rule against this but it’s definitely not appealing if your kid desires more academically and a different perspective on soccer for their college experience. Playing at the same club then with the same coach and kids doesn’t exactly take a Player out of their comfort zone. Everyone knows that comfortable players don’t advance. But I also understand that if you commit to Rutgers in 10th grade you can cruise through HS and simply focus on soccer- that’s appealing to a 16 year old.
Looking over some of the player write up several seemed to have had great HS academics....and they're at Rutgers.

Rutgers is a state school with a 70% acceptance rate and had a good Girls soccer season this fall. That’s about it.

The Rutgers kids don’t have to get a high SAT score nor do they need to take AP classes. Please stop calling Rutgers a good academic school and compare them with top Ivy and high level institutions that accept 3-5% of applicants.

some list National Honor Society so I guess they made it up? Also if you're a top national player, like several of them are, top schools will give a lot of leeway on your academics. You seem upset that some might have decided to attend Rutgers. Between athletic and merit grants they'll graduate with no debt and possibly have national title memories too.

Many many kids prefer to go to college in their own state. If you are a good soccer player in NJ and want to stay close to home, there are not that many options for playing P5 soccer.

Hahahaha National Honor Society is not as tough to earn as it was previously.
Look At the Princeton’s roster and those kids credentials and compare them to Rutgers kids and you will see what it truly takes to be an elite student athlete.
