That’s all college soccer has become physical play, out muscle the other team, very little possession. No wonder technical players from STA, SJEB etc get overlooked over more physical, bigger, faster players at PDA.
And why is that? Because the technical players are not good enough to execute under pressure. And why is that? Because Clubs harvest talent to win the next inevitable game and dont develop it. Real talent is nowhere near common enough to support the level of "high level" teams we "apparently" have.
Actually my friend's kid has played against this gk at various training events. She is a good not great gk. She can not make the special saves. She has a great defense to bail her out. A better gk and they win these games. Jmho
OP says good. That is how RU build teams. Murphy before her. What is your point, other than telling us your D has been in training events with a NT U-20 keeper?
Lol...i have been saying this for a few years now. :D has played multi level up to ECNL and each year the games get more and more physical in this area of the country and with it the teams are bigger and bigger players ....so to win you need the biggest strongest team.
No longer about passing or creating space etc.....still have some skilled tech players but less and less...its all about who can out muscle ..,
No you dont. You need to be better technically. If that not enough, then maybe your are underestimating the other players. Usually it is. Parents of less athletic kids resent the success others have, s they try to reduce it to some god given skill but for which their kid would be a star.

Not sure about your rant but Murphy was/is better.

I think that is what the OP was trying to say. Maybe some of that was assisted by MO and his association with ECNL.

That is why some of the bigger clubs bailed out on GDA after first year. Limited substitutions made them have to be fit, more technical and put a burden on coach to actually coach instead of just subbing. It was eye opening.

Not my D. She is a toddler. But thanks for playing. Sorry to have upset you Mike.

Signs of intelligent life on TS. Today is a breakthrough

And wasn't one of the first to bail, PDA. Back to ECNL where MO and the other Board members could have the control. Kind of summing up all of this.
Many of the D3 players in the area that PDA overlooks (just because they play for competing clubs like CSA, STA) are actually better than the PDA players they recruit. Just keeping it real.
Truth! Rutgers can recruit much better players that can actually win them national championships. But do they ever look at kids from CSA, FC Copa etc? No because it does not fit their business model. Their loss when those players go to North Carolina, Stanford, Florida St etc.

Go look at the alumni listings for those clubs. Any players who was there for one season are now fair game to be listed. Does anyone thing that those three colleges recruited players directly from those clubs? Just clueless parents............

None of it matters. Players are influenced by many, a select few try and take credit for all of it for business purposes. Parents allow them to. Getting recruited by a certain school does not make one kid better than another, ut that is the mentality here. How many people look at actual performance at said school by, say Jnr year? Very few. On to the next set of customers by then. At that point the narrative has switched to all about the experience/education.

Clueless parents and being oversold by those clubs goes hand in hand. If you think anyone from those clubs is going to FSU or NC you’re smoking something.

Why not? I think UNC and FSU are not top of most peoples lists. Its not about soccer. There is a reason FSU recruit a ton of internationals and UNC is no longer dominant.
