Hofstra is better at soccer too (this year, at least).

That girls parents are smart. And she studied.
So she now gets to play soccer at Georgetown and has to ability to do whatever she wants post college with that degree. She can even play pro for a few years and still get a good job after with GT on her resume. That’s a success story.

Did you really say that? Rutgers competes in the Big Ten, won the regular season title and are given a number 1 seed in the tournament. Hofstra is a solid program but………

Look At the Princeton’s roster and those kids credentials and compare them to Rutgers kids and you will see what it truly takes to be an elite student athlete.
Comparing any IVY roster is unfair. Everyone of those student/athletes will hit the ground running when they graduate. We know kids who turned down top tier soccer programs and scholarship money for the Ivy League and have never looked back. Rutgers cannot match that academically but at the same time their soccer skills were able to help them financially by going there. Not everyone has a choice because of finances.

But...Hofstra beat all the Ivy teams they faced, including Brown and Princeton. Maybe Rutgers will schedule a top ACC or Pac12 team next season. Nah, just continue to "cheese" the rpi.

Nova has now sadly become D3 level soccer. They get destroyed by the likes of Gtown 7-0. Sad state of affairs.

Oh geez, here we go again. Not only are RU the victims, but the poor little victims. Give it a break (eyeroll).

Likely Hofstra would have beaten RU. Safer with Fairleigh D. Otherwise, Bye bye RPI.

Your going to compare the CAA Conference to the P5 Big Ten? Who has Hofstra played from the ACC/PAC 12. Hofstra is a good team but they lost to Penn State. Rutgers won the regular Big Ten season. Rutgers is ranked in top 10 in the country and has a #1 ranking for the NCAA tournament.

I am comparing Hofstra beating Brown and Princeton; something Rutgers could not do. #1 Ranking or not.

And Hofstra has multiple conference trophies; not just 1 for regular season. One.

Hmmm would you rather a #1 ranking (reminder there are 4 #1 rankings) or conference champ? I go with conference champ.
