    Asje field

I am the one who started the conversation about ASJE field. I never said anything about there players or coach. I am talking how can they play on a field that is 100% against the rules? And the people who are on here talking about Futsal and stuff I am talking about real soccer on a real soccer field. Also you would feel different if your son feel into that fence that was 2 feet off the field and got hurt. There are rules for a reason and everyone has to follow them you just can't make up rules to benefit your team. And for people to says it's ok not to follow the rules the other team needs to adapt to you! Yes ASJE moves the ball great have great footskills. But they lack speed, size, athleticism and that is all part of soccer. But back to my point there are rules for a reason and they must be followed I am so glad no boys got hurt yesterday.

Cheap way to “TRY” and win

The Juniors Elite field is small so any foul was pretty much a free kick... Liverpool does have a couple kids that shoot from far. It’s just another weapon added to their game. And maybe you didn’t get a chance to see it but they have scored from the kick off more than once in a real game. If the goalie is off his line then why not.
This just proves the uneducated soccer parents that’s think their kid is the next Messi should play to win at age 9 versus focusing on training to develop. In fact, for the parents that don’t know the purpose of “EDP Futures” is so that no scores, goals, and or wins are made public is to prevent a loser coach from teaching young children the wrong way to play. At this age it’s about teaching and developing along with using the correct tactics taught in practice and watch it come to life in games. The only purpose EDP keeps track of scores internally is the hopes to properly flight teams. Teams like Liverpool apparently only care about wins because that’s their only marketing efforts to attract new children. I personally would never join a team where a coach intentionally tries to kick a long ball from kickoff just to try and tie or win a game. And if I was part of that team I would ask for a refund and look to go to a club that wants to actually develop my child.

So who’s leaving Liverpool after this season?... asking for a friend!

Thank you at least someone gets it. Half these parents have no clue what the sport is all about.

You may be 100% correct to question the field size if in fact it’s not the allowed EDP suggested minimal size. But is this the first time ASJE has played an opponent on this field? Is this the first time a team has questioned ASJE. Has any refs in the past made a reference or complained about the field size? If in fact it’s small with a fence doesn’t that fairly impact both squads? Do we know if ASJE practices on this field or just plays on there 3 games a season? Do you honestly believe they are using this as a home field advantage??

I would love to hear a parent from FA, Redbulls or CSA comment and blame the lack of performance of their children was due to the size of a field. It’s harder to play on a smaller field with less space because you need to be skillful and tactical. If you think playing on a larger field is easier only time will tell when we all move to 9v9. Unless you think ASJE will try and play on the same small fenced field for 9v9 ahahahahaah

Don’t get ahead of me my friend. I truly respect your opinion but don’t shut down all other aspects of a beautiful game. Great soccer constitutes more than just passing the ball around, dribbling , vision, technique are also part of it. Some of these players show creativity and I would not disrespect their talent with what you call “cheap tactics” I aim at players who can do more than just passing and tapping in the goal. You are not the coach of any of these teams that play here and what you hear are what other people are saying so the credibility is meh... hugs and kisses 😘

I am a parent of a kid on AS Junior Elite. I am also new to the thread. I will be positive and say the game was well played and both kids on both teams played well. Did Liverpool score all there goals against off from Free kicks and the long ball, yes! But that’s part of the game. Am I mad at that, NO. Do I feel the boys on my sons AS Junior Elite distributed the ball better and earned there goals off of team play, Yes! But I do understand this is YOUTH soccer and any given day two different teams will have two different outcomes.

The field issue is the first I have ever heard a complaint about. Especially in regards to safety! No one has ever from my knowledge gotten hurt due to the fence plus this field has been used for Northern Counties and EDP for over 10 years!

The game ended in a damn TIE. No one won or lost so can we move onto another topic or game now???

Add CSA Monmouth and that is a very good top flight if EDP grouped teams in geography and league performance.
CSA Monmouth will be a very different team come the fall, and not for the better unfortunately.

Punting the ball from the kick off is demonstrating skill ? 🤣🤣🤣

The board has some good debate tonight...when we played Liverpool they took a shot from midfield off every kickoff. It was also sad to see that in a close game the coach instructed the bigger player(s) to shoot as soon as they crossed midfield. It is no wonder why they are losing players next year as these tactics promote individual players on the field and alienate others. That never works from a parent perspective and it also shows a desperation to win which goes against developing a player.

A lot of this stuff starts to go away at 9v9 as ball movement and tactics come into play. The programs that play to win like a Liverpool and Union are going to learn the hard way as players start to peel off.

I am a Liverpool parents and that is incorrect information. 1 goal was off the kick off 1 goal was from a direct kick but the other 2 goals were during the flow of the game. But what I am saying again if there are rules they need to be followed!! You can Google EDP field size and it will give you the min and max size for 7v7 field and that field yesterday did not meant the requirements. You might not agree with that and say the field has been used for year but there are rules for a reason. Was it a good game yes!! ASJE is a very talent team they move the ball very well your goalie made 4 to 6 amazing saves I am not taking anything away from your team or the players. I am just saying the field did not meet requirements and no one can say it does. And all it takes is one kid to get serious hurt on that fence and you might be right it has not happened yet but if it ever does then it will be a different story.

Did you guys play Morris Elite and Red Bulls on that same field this year? If so neither of them had a problem with it?
