So the socialist darling is upset for being fact-checked. Not that she is upset because she is making stuff up, but because she's being checked so often.

It isn't a cage, it is a holding facility. How would you suggest they be taken care of with a limited number of people to watch them ?

Have you ever been in a Juvenile Detention Facility ? Have you ever seen cases of neglect by sate Officials regarding the living conditions of children that are under their jurisdiction ?

Thee are stories like this all across the country. You Liberals are just so pathetic , so oblivious.

A mother on the child-abuse registry and evidence that intellectually disabled teenager Matthew Tirado hadn’t been in school for months was not enough to propel the state’s child-protection agency to make contact with Matthew and determine whether he was safe, according to a report by the state child advocate on a series of stunning lapses leading up to Matthew’s death in February.

Instead, the Department of Children and Families, after failing to see the 17-year-old even once in a nine-month period, during which a caseworker ignored a supervisor’s request to seek a police child-safety check, withdrew from Matthew’s case and ended its involvement in January 2017, just a month before his death. The $800 million-a-year agency closed its file rather than seeking to remove Matthew and his sister, who had also been neglected, from Katiria Tirado’s custody, Child Advocate Sarah Eagan reported.

“Health care is a right, not a privilege reserved for those who can afford it,” de Blasio said in a statement. “While the federal government works to gut health care for millions of Americans, New York City is leading the way by guaranteeing that every New Yorker has access to quality, comprehensive access to care, regardless of immigration status or their ability to pay.”

My take? Love it. Make it a local issue and keep the federal government out of it.

                            by Hilario Yanez

Like millions of Americans, I will be watching President Trump address the nation Tuesday night on his demand for $5.7 billion from Congress to build a wall on the U.S.-Mexico border in return for ending the partial government shutdown. But I’m not an American, even though I feel like one. I’m an immigrant brought to the U.S. illegally when I was just a year old.

I am one of the approximately 700,000 so-called Dreamers now living in the U.S. For now, I’m here legally because I am protected by the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. But that protection may end soon, because DACA is being challenged in the courts.

And it might surprise you to know that I’m also a supporter of President Trump. I believe it is vital that we focus on America's safety first and find the necessary resources for the Border Patrol to do its job effectively, while still giving people like me a chance to stay in the only country we’ve ever called home and loved.

I understand that America can’t let everyone who wants to come into this country enter, nor can the U.S. allow illegal drugs to flow freely across the border.

As a result, I support the president’s call for a barrier along the U.S.-Mexico border. And I understand that he has promised to build a border wall or fence and feels duty-bound to fulfill his promise.

The DACA community is not asking to skip to the head of the line or to be granted citizenship immediately. All we want is a chance to earn citizenship while still being able to stay in this country by paying our taxes, serving our country, supporting our communities, and continuing to pledge allegiance to the only flag we have ever known and loved.

                              Yes, that is correct.

It's a fundamental difference. I believe states should have control. I believe that those in Northern Maine should govern as best fits that local. They certainly don't want someone in NYC telling them what's good for them.

                              And, vice versa.

These concentration camps that Trump keeps these people in are not subject to the same regulatory regime as “Juvenile detention facilities .”
