    Nothing good is happening here.
The trump crowd lecturing about being respectful.

Must pause for a bit. Gonna go LMAO Over a cup of coffee.

I loved watching a few nutters melt down at the game yesterday. The totems are falling!

In other words , boo if you want about players taking a knee but STFU about players not having the right to do it.

Are you able to discern that nuance Bore-us?
They are paying customers. They are entitled to their opinion regarding the product.
The definitive factor will be that if the players continue their right to kneel, will the ratings , attendance and revenue fall dramatically ? Then one will see if their " rights" are really that important to them.

And the obnoxious antics of showboating , lewd posturing and the like hardly gets a mention. That's al okay. crotch grabbing, simulation of bowel movements , nice message to pass along to the children watching.

The NFL is doomed. Not now, not tomorrow , but down the line. Youth Football will be a non tackle competition soon, as will High School eventually . College and Pro will take longer, but the game is physically dangerous to the brain, and sitting for 3 hours for very little action is starting to drain on the public. And now this.
Agreed. But I also agree with the cartoon showing Trump shooting himself in the foot. His rhetoric only divides us further. I don’t know how the right can complain about the Mozilla CEO getting fired and then support the firing of these NFL players. Let the free market do it's job.

From someone who was there, for whatever the reason even the Patriots are starting to see empty seats.

Trump is Trump. He should have stayed away, but he couldn't resist. He saw it spreading week to week, maybe he saw the clip of the 8 year olds, who knows. Eventually, it would have to have been addressed by the public.

My easy solution is just not to play it at NFL games. If a similar expression of the " right" to disrespect the Anthem occurs elsewhere , don't play it. It will be just like the Statues, Monuments, Art, whatever, that if people don't agree with what it is or stands for, to erase it from the public conscience. This is the path that Progressives are paving for America. This is a rational extension of that demented mind set.

Isn't EVERYONE entitled to their opinion and free speech? What is this "paying customer" thing.

I love the fact that Brady told the fans to go ahead and boo it's their right while letting fans know that the players are going to exercise same

Brady doesn't seem to care that you are booing about this. FULL STOP.

I dare the NFL, the Owners and the networks to show the image of that Marine on the Jumbo TV's at the games next weekend.

The BS over the NFL is but a distraction from what is really going on in this country. Let's face it, the reputation of the NFL started going down the toilet long before this. Thirty-one teams thinkthe Patriots/Brady cheaerst. Goodell underscored that thought with how badly he handled the investigation. Then of course, there is the issue of domestic violence and animal abuse. And how can we forget how the NFL denied the studies coming out in regards to brain injuries. The NFL will not recover from all of this.

Only demented people like you would use a picture like that to make a political point when you have done NOTHING to support people like that.

How many hours did you 🥜 ters volunteer for disabled vets? Then no you can't use their pictures as political props anymore.

How much extra in trump budget for those vets?

That dog don't hunt no more. When sufficiently butt hurt nutters merely pump pictures of disabled vets to screen? Probably wouldn't be disabled but for republican wars. That happen in Iraq?

                            This is their MO.

Did you see ANY of this out of Bore-us when the NFL owners were expressing fealty to Trump and the 🥜 ters fantasized Tom Brady was in Trump's corner?

                            No, you did not.

But look at the BUTT HURT today so the NFL will now be ritually burned to the ground.

In other words, no fealty for mob boss trump and you are disowned.

Lovely. Show us what you are all about cons that's what people show under stress

Trump is Trump, that's for sure. I don’t have a problem with him addressing the issue, it's just how he chooses to do it.

I hope you are being sarcastic. That would never be my solution. We need traditions to unite us as Americans. This was a big, big blunder on Trump’s part to not focus on that. I swear the guy was absent the day they discussed managing people at Management 101 at Wharton.

After San Francisco 49ers Quarterback Colin Kaepernick sat on the bench during the national anthem at a preseason NFL football game, many in the veteran community became angry. Colin sat during the national anthem and later made a statement saying that he feels he cannot show pride for his nation’s flag when it is a nation that oppresses African-Americans and other racial minorities.

In the days following this event, I started to see a slow trickle of Facebook posts from service members, veterans and veteran supporters — most of them bashing Colin for his actions that day. News outlets even ran straight to veterans — what do veterans think about this? While one article I read included a pretty in-depth interview with a veteran, the basic set-up was clear: Let’s use this combat veteran, hopefully we’ll get some sort of juicy reaction out of them! Who could be more angered about this than the combat veteran?

There was one dominant image that kept coming up in my Facebook feed. It was an image of Colin sitting on the bench at an NFL game juxtaposed with a Marine in his dress uniform holding himself up by the handles of his wheelchair with no legs, just the fabric of his dress pants bunched underneath him on the wheelchair seat. The image was captioned with “No legs. No $114 million dollar payday. Still stands for the national anthem.” In the meme version, the picture had big block letters scrolled across it that said: “While Colin Kaepernick refuses to stand, we have real men who show respect for our nation.” There’s no name, no context, just a photo of this Marine being used by other veterans in the same way that they are often used by the media — as props to make a point.
