I am familiar with that perceived problem, however I don't really buy into it. The American economy is so large, with so many details , variables, ebbs and flows that any thought of " design " for the benefit of some over others doesn't; stand up to scrutiny.

I'm with you there. But I still see the influence that the uber wealthy have over our political system an issue. That's why I am a "less government is good type". Too many political hacks in both parties being influenced by money. And I'm not referencing the issue of Citizens United that Democrats push as the problem. I'm more concerned with the Jack Abramoff type dealings behind closed doors. Ever notice how that whole thing has died? Because neither party wants to admit it's a significant problem.

Not sure your point at this stage of the game in 2016. More significantly is the crap going on between Saudi Arabian and Iran and I think that has a lot to do with Obama's failed foreign policy. Unless of course his intent was to blow up the entire Middle East. In that case, he's doing a fantastic job.

I think we are seeing it with the people coming out for Trump. he is wealthy, but he has a way of being in the same mindset of those that are not satisfied with what has been going on. He talks like a Nu Yawker, minus many of the cursing.

Personally, and nothing personal, but I think there are just too many lawyers in our system of Government. Where's the separation of powers when we have a ton of them in Congress, one in the WH, and a bunch on the bench. I really like that the Founding Fathers made it so one does not even have to be a lawyer to sit on the Supreme Court. Maybe one non- lawyer should be there.

You nailed on the lawyer issue. And I am not an envious person so how much wealth a person has is not an issue to me; however their influence on the political system is. The following does a pretty good job reflecting my thoughts on the subject. It's not income inequality at issue, but income mobility and a lot is being done in government (thanks to crony capitalism) that is making income mobility worse.

Officers received numerous complaints from women who said they had been assaulted around Cologne's main train station next to the western German city's famous cathedral on the night from Thursday to Friday

Especially for women it must be assumed that a high security risk is here in the evening and night hours. At New Year’s Eve there was a legal vacuum and a no-go area for women. With the climax of the Carnival season it is unfortunately expected to be a similar situation”.

German police have admitted to losing several urban areas to migrant gangs as so-called no-go zones, but this is possibly the first time a public square in the centre of a European city has been acknowledged by officials as having been lost to criminality, and out of the control of police at night.
