There is a problem, but it's not the problem Democrats have used to divide ths country for their political benefit and do nothing to address. Am I suggesting Republicans are better able to address the issues? Maybe, but I don't have a great deal of confidence there either.
I also don't have full confidence in Republicans either, but the direction of the Democratic party actually scares the hell out of me.

It's all about how the message is shaped:
"Mark Penn, who owns a public relations firm handling communications for the Barack Obama Foundation, credited Obama with uttering the “stupidest thing ever said by a president in foreign policy.”
In a March 2012 email sent to Hillary Clinton’s private email address, Penn lambasted Obama for his statement to then-Russian President Dmitri Medvedev that he would “have more flexibility” on missile defense issues after the 2012 election.
“This could be about the stupidest thing ever said by a president in foreign policy,” wrote Penn. “To explicitly say that he is laying low on nuclear defense policies because of his election right now and tell your opponent that is to politicize all foreign policy, evidence weakness that can be exploited by others, and undermine the administration’s credibility. “ "

That's why I am a "less government is good type". Too many political hacks in both parties being influenced by money. And I'm not referencing the issue of Citizens United that Democrats push as the problem. I'm more concerned with the Jack Abramoff type dealings behind closed doors. Ever notice how that whole thing has died? Because neither party wants to admit it's a significant problem.
Personally, and nothing personal, but I think there are just too many lawyers in our system of Government. Where's the separation of powers when we have a ton of them in Congress, one in the WH, and a bunch on the bench. I really like that the Founding Fathers made it so one does not even have to be a lawyer to sit on the Supreme Court. Maybe one non- lawyer should be there.

Yes, the wealthy can perhaps buy their way into things , but opportunities for average Americans are really a different scenario. I think we are seeing it with the people coming out for Trump. he is wealthy, but he has a way of being in the same mindset of those that are not satisfied with what has been going on. He talks like a Nu Yawker, minus many of the cursing.

Dec. 21 - Oct. 31 is a difference of 51 days.
So the OpenSecrets article is 51 days "more current" than the Newsmax article.

No need to question immigrants from third world ****e holes coming here - it is mostly women and children...
German police are hunting for a group of up to a 1,000 men 'of Arab and North African origin' who are accused of sexually assaulting numerous women and causing trouble at Cologne's main station.
Police described the series of sexual assaults against women in Cologne on New Year's Eve as 'a completely new dimension of crime.'
Officers received numerous complaints from women who said they had been assaulted around Cologne's main train station next to the western German city's famous cathedral on the night from Thursday to Friday

“Especially the area in and around the central station, the cathedral and the adjoining area towards the banks of the Rhine for tourists (and locals) is no longer considered even in normal times as safe. For months, there is in these areas numerous thefts, open drug dealing, robberies and harassment of all kinds… Dozens of women were sexually harassed in public and there was at least one rape.
“Neither the city nor the police are able to guarantee in the territory described the safety of tourists and locals. Especially for women it must be assumed that a high security risk is here in the evening and night hours. At New Year’s Eve there was a legal vacuum and a no-go area for women. With the climax of the Carnival season it is unfortunately expected to be a similar situation”.
German police have admitted to losing several urban areas to migrant gangs as so-called no-go zones, but this is possibly the first time a public square in the centre of a European city has been acknowledged by officials as having been lost to criminality, and out of the control of police at night.
