Heaving mounds of guilt for the warts and mistakes of the past on the current society , and expecting a pound of flesh in return . Absolutely pathetic.

The fact remains that despite your babbling , the Bill of Rights has stood the test of time. It is the Law of the Land. And like I said, if you are so miserable in America, you are free to leave. You can talk about all the commas you want, but the Bill of Rights still stands.

    Still stands. Period.
You act as if the issue of the 2nd amendment and what it means has never been debated or questioned. That is pure conservative revisionism. And so far from fact. It does not grant a unilateral right to bear any arms in any situation. And as for this being the greatest country in the world? Yes, in terms of killing people. Def #1. But how do you know that life is not better somewhere else if you haven't lived anywhere else. I love my country but that does not mean that I am a sheep and will blindly agree with everything it does and what a minority of the population attempts to impose on the rest of the nation. The love it or leave piece is so 1970's. Does your little woman still bring you your robe and slippers and light your Luckys?

It has not changed since it was written. You can spin all you want, but that's a fact. The debate was on before,, during and after it was written. But it is still there. No one said it grants any " universal right...", those are your words. It doesn't say that. it never did.

You think America is # 1 killing people ? There's that hate again. What about all the good ? All the lives SAVED ? Our unmatched economic freedom ? Not good enough for Progressives? Always the half empty glass ?

America today is the last great hope for mankind on the planet. That's why the line to get in is so long, and the line to get out is so short.

You are only a sheep if you believe yourself to be one. You are free to leave the herd at any time .

So there you go again with the personal attack. I realize that is all you have.

Cujo, please elaborate on how the U.S. is #1 in killing people. I would love to hear your sources on that one. What exactly is a minority trying to impose on the majority? Are you talking the 2nd amendment here? As usual you are confused and make little sense. If the 2nd Amendment is your issue, there are legal steps to amend this. The fact that it has not been amended should tell you that the majority (despite the liberal talking points) does not agree. Keep tilting at windmills.

You mean like these minorities? Or are they okay..

Students across the country are refusing to tacitly accept their campuses' unjust, discriminatory policies and ethos, and Columbia University students are now no exception. On Monday, a coalition of students at the New York City-based university joined a growing national movement to counter campus-based discrimination by publicly announcing a list of demands for their administration.

The demands. "These demands all fundamentally challenge the way that the university has been acting as a corporation, paying administrators outlandish salaries and disregarding science and human well-being for the sake of profit," Caroline Lee — one of the organizers associated with the Barnard Columbia Solidarity Network, the coalition that wrote the demands — told Mic.

The demands were written by a coalition of multiple campus groups that seek to address the issues faced by students of color, sexual assault survivors, and low-income students, as well as students of other marginalized identities

Good call. Howard Zinn and Murray Levin were my two favorite profs at BU. Brilliant men. Didn't always agree with them but they challenged their students to think critically and reject political orthodoxy.

I was forced to read them as well in one of the indoctrination classes you have to take. Wasn't much interested in history from the losers perspective. The Last Lion, now he could write history. You should read better stuff.

Actually Trump's numbers are pretty similar to Bernie's numbers on the other side. The difference is Democrats have only 2 other choices, Republicans 12. People keep forgettting that apparently. The media by their incessant coverage of Trump keep him in the forefront and certainly Trump is using it to his full advantage.sometimes are really do wonder if he's a Clinton plant as has been suggested by some. And btw, Trump is appealing to blue collar Americans, who use to vote for Democrats, but no longer feel like Democrats have their backs.

Yes, much of the right's extremism, and the Tea Party in particular, was born from the current policies of this Administration as a defense mechanism. However, point made, swing it back to the middle or we are going to continue to rot.
Don't buy into the BS the political elites of both parties put out about the Tea Party. As noted before the Tea Party is represented by wealthier, more educated people than the general public. The more vocal of those in the Tea Party tend to be libertarians and as also noted before libertarians tend to have a higher IQ than the average Democrat or Republican.

Cujo, you prove time and time again what an idiot you are. One only has to do a little historical study to find how wrong you are.

The poster who follows your comment above has done a good job of addressing the issue of gun control, but your idiotic comment about Americans being #1 in killing is so out there. For Godsake Cujo, do you know how many people died in the political upheavals of the twentieth century alone and you want to make the US #1???

From the invasion of China in 1937 to the end of World War II, the Japanese military regime murdered up to 10,000,000 people and probably almost 6,000,000 Chinese, Indonesians, Koreans, Filipinos, and Indochinese, among others, including Western prisoners of war.

And this doesn't even begin to address Africa and South America.

The US is close. Do you know that there have been over 60 million abortions in the US since Roe v Wade. 60 million innocents murdered since then. Makes Hitler look like polly anna. If that doesn't cause you shame nothing will.

This thread still going on? I figured after virtually everything Cujo said has been vehemently shot down with facts, not random statements, he would've given up.

Unfortunately, the guy looking at him in the box every morning when he brushes his teeth keeps telling him he's right, so I guess he'll keep trying.
