When Congress addresses the problem with the proper Legislation to handle the illegals flocking here, a solution can be on the horizon.

But the Dems don;t appear to want that. They want amnesty, open borders, free health care, driver's licenses, education , all on the backs of the US taxpayer.

Not one of the 2020 Democratic Candidates has stated what they woudl do to solve the problem. They all keep saying the same thing, the same DNC talking points. " Comprehensive Immigrant Legislation" . Like just satying those words and waving a wand will help. Allidiots. Every one of them.
I see you need an education .....

Step into my time machine and let’s head back to 2013....not long after Obama won re-election ....

June 28 actually. So six years ago. Like I said, Dems put a comprehensive proposal together “six or seven years ago.”

My memory is pretty good, huh Bore-is?

      😂😂😂😂😂

      Anyway let’s dig in FACTUALLY-

The Senate on Thursday passed the most monumental overhaul of U.S. immigration laws in a generation, which would clear the way for millions of undocumented residents to have a chance at citizenship, attract workers from all over the world and devote unprecedented resources for security along the U.S.-Mexico border.
Open borders not a feature like cons CLAIM dems support. FACT

The vote was 68-32. Fourteen Republicans crossed the aisle to vote with all Democrats in favor.
So a third of the Republican caucus voter for the bill after debate in senate over months - see the linked article ....

      So....

      [quote{
Thursday’s vote now puts the onus of immigration reform on the Republican-led House, where leaders have been resistant to the Senate legislation.[/quote]

Is that enough FACT cons to elicit your FACTUAL responses to the following ?

      1) what happened next ?

      2) can you point to an equally COMPREHENSIVE proposal for IMMIGRATION REFORM since from the GOP or do they / you just back emporium trumps crimes against humanity as a “SOLUTION” ?

Please favor our many readers with FACTUAL responses .

I KNOW the answer to 1) and first part of 2) for sure.

How can you be so clueless?

How many bedrooms in your house?

What if 100 people showed up and the Government told you to house them ? Get it ?

That's what has happened on the border. They are OVERWHELMED. Understand? Beyond the capacity they were INTENDED for. What they were BUILT for.

Because Congress , and specifically Democrats in the HOuse REFUSE to confront the issue, confront the problems, CLOSE the loopholes, the facilities are BEYOND capacity.

Do you drive the Mass Pike on Sunday afternoon when people come home from the Cape and elsewhere ? Are you doing 70 MPH ? Why ?

          Let’s drill it down....

A comprehensive approach to immigration reform passed the senate six years ago with the support of FOURTEEN GOP Senators ....

          That’s big time bipartisan support.

          What happened?

Comprehensive immigration reform in 2013/2014 is dead. Speaker of the House John Boehner (R-OH) declared that the House of Representatives would not pass an immigration bill that could wind up in a House-Senate Conference Committee.

The Senate passed a bipartisan Comprehensive Immigration Reform bill (S.744) in late June 2013. However, no CIR bill has emerged from the House of Representatives. Instead, the House has focused on a number of immigration bills dealing with specific issues. Notably absent is a bill which contains a Path to Citizenship for the 11 million undocumented people in the U.S. Below, we link to Presidential speeches, statements by Members of Congress, and insightful news stories explaining the efforts being made to pass Comprehensive Immigration Reform in 2013.
So there you have it. Bill passes senate with bipartisan support but the small minority in the 🥜, 🥜 🥜 🥜 ter “Freedom caucus” wanted a piecemeal, “our way or the highway “ bill that was not COMPREHENSIVE. No compromise in conference with the people who held the senate and WH after the 2012 election.

NOW they insist it’s our fault that it must be concentration camps and human rights abuses now?

Sorry bore - is. This stinker is on you and the cons.

Now Bore-is, can you show us the comprehensive immigration reform bill the house did pass then? Just so we can review the GOP ideas?

But no you can’t ....they didn’t even bother fleshing out an alternative .....

I hope are younger readers are learning the history of GOP bad faith on immigration reform from these FACTS

Cue some more fact - free hysterical blaming from cons ....all they got

Behold their legacy ....supporting trumps human rights abuses against children

              Have another scoop

Once before 2013 the senate passed bipartisan immigration reform and house republicans wouldn’t even take up the bill ....

              GW Bush was President

May 2006: Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act of 2006, 62-36
The Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act of 2006 passed in the Senate on May 25, 2006, along a 62-36 vote. The bill included provisions to strengthen border security with fencing, vehicle barriers, surveillance technology and more personnel; a new temporary worker visa category; and a path to legal status for immigrants in the country illegally if they met specific criteria.

Then-President George W. Bush commended the Senate "for passing bipartisan comprehensive immigration reform" and said he looked forward to working with both chambers.

But the bill was never taken up by the House. The House in December 2005 passed a separate bill with greater focus on border security and enforcement, the Border Protection, Antiterrorism, and Illegal Immigration Control Act of 2005. That proposal narrowed in on employment eligibility verification; immigration fraud; and immigration enforcement authority at state and local levels. It did not include a guest worker program or the legalization of immigrants.

Instead of voting on the Senate bill, House Republican leaders held a series of summer "field hearings" to get the public to weigh in on controversial provisions in the Senate bill, which Republicans labeled as amnesty.
So TWICE, 2006 and 2013, the senate passed Comprehensive bills on immigration with SIGNIFICANT bipartisan support. First time a Republican was in White House, another time a Democrat.

Boehner could have easily passed something in 2006 with bipartisan support and come to conference but about two dozen 🥜 , 🥜 🥜 ters held him hostage. So GOP did NOTHING in 2006 but make hysterical excuses rather than do their jobs.

              Same in 2013.

Cons can any of you, using FACTS, show where there was ever a GOP proposal that could be cited on?

Come on now Cons. This fact free hysteria looks weak .

                  So in summary cons:

                  1) why no support in GOP House for Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act of 2006 ?
It had bipartisan support in Senate and support of GW Bush.

                  2) why no support in GOP House for Border Security, Economic Opportunity, and Immigration Modernization Act Passed senate with bipartisan support June 2013. Had Obama’s support .

                  3) if house GOP didn’t like features of these bills, why didn’t they pass something and go to
Conference ? That IS how divided government works.

                  4) given that house GOP TWICE has failed to either consider these two COMPREHENSIVE IMMIGRATION REFORM bills or pass their alternative, how do you continue to blame Dems for “doing nothing”when the only thing they could do is accede to the demands of that GOP element who clearly was holding out for the concentration camp approach ?

Cons are typically completely unaware of Democratic efforts to reform immigration. There have been other measures as well that McConnell shoots down faster than our drones near Iran. Look at even the shutdown last December. Dems were giving Trump a good deal of what he wanted but he refused to budge on Dreamers (something that has a good deal of bipartisan support). So instead he shut down the government and in the end didn't get anything. Worst. Negotiator. Ever.

Same with an American held in an Iranian prison. I don't care where you stand on immigration but no child should be denied sufficient food, water and basic essentials. DCFS would take your kids away if you didn't do that for your own children.
