Where I have to give Trump credit is that he boxed Obama (and Hillary) in on exposing what was happening with Russia and Trump's campaign because of Trump's constant "rigging" rhetoric. Obama didn't want to be accused of swaying the election so he stayed silent. Big mistake because he got accused of whatever Trump wanted to accuse him of anyway. Now we have a true child (and an immature one at that) in the WH. A C grade movie that has actually happened in real life.
You listed three "major accomplishments". None were all that successful. Healthcare and Paris were unilateral. Healthcare is on its deathbed and Paris has been pulled out of. Gay marriage was the third. I don't like government telling adults what they can or can't do so I think that is a good one. Not sure how much credit Obama deserves for that but can't give him all the blame if he can't get credit too.

Your response was in essence, "Obama was a good guy and a good family man". Trump's kids seem to be really smart, well raised, and great examples. You can't stand the man so you refuse to see it.

HRC and the DNC rigged the election for HRC. It is clear. The Democratic leadership had a choice, nominate a Socialist in Sanders or arguably the most unlikable and least trustworthy candidate in history. They chose the establishment choice who also happened to be a woman. Identity politics at its finest. They ignored how poorly she during normal campaign activities. Empty crowds, her awkwardness, her inability to connect with normal people. Her recent comments about the election in interviews, shows her to be petty, immature, narcissitic and have zero accountability.

Even more unpleasant than previously thought. Ugh.

Few years old, but a classic. As Europe continues to run amok, thought of it this morning...

        /////

ALERTS TO THREATS IN EUROPE: BY JOHN CLEESE

by John Cleese - British writer, actor and tall person

The English are feeling the pinch in relation to recent events in Syria and have therefore raised their security level from "Miffed" to "Peeved." Soon, though, security levels may be raised yet again to "Irritated" or even "A Bit Cross." The English have not been "A Bit Cross" since the blitz in 1940 when tea supplies nearly ran out. Terrorists have been re-categorized from "Tiresome" to "A Bloody Nuisance." The last time the British issued a "Bloody Nuisance" warning level was in 1588, when threatened by the Spanish Armada.

The Scots have raised their threat level from "Pissed Off" to "Let's get the Bastards." They don't have any other levels. This is the reason they have been used on the front line of the British army for the last 300 years.

The French government announced yesterday that it has raised its terror alert level from "Run" to "Hide." The only two higher levels in France are "Collaborate" and "Surrender." The rise was precipitated by a recent fire that destroyed France 's white flag factory, effectively paralyzing the country's military capability.

Italy has increased the alert level from "Shout Loudly and Excitedly" to "Elaborate Military Posturing." Two more levels remain: "Ineffective Combat Operations" and "Change Sides."

The Germans have increased their alert state from "Disdainful Arrogance" to "Dress in Uniform and Sing Marching Songs." They also have two higher levels: "Invade a Neighbour" and "Lose."

Belgians, on the other hand, are all on holiday as usual; the only threat they are worried about is NATO pulling out of Brussels .

The Spanish are all excited to see their new submarines ready to deploy. These beautifully designed subs have glass bottoms so the new Spanish navy can get a really good look at the old Spanish navy.

Australia, meanwhile, has raised its security level from "No worries" to "She'll be alright, Mate." Two more escalation levels remain: "Crikey! I think we'll need to cancel the barbie this weekend!" and "The barbie is cancelled." So far no situation has ever warranted use of the last final escalation level.

A final thought - " Greece is collapsing, the Iranians are getting aggressive, and Rome is in disarray. Welcome back to 430 BC".

Gun control clearly wasn’t the answer to violence because terrorists are now using vehicles to kill people. Do we next outlaw cars and trucks?

We weren't extorted. It was in large part our idea and Obama was the leader in crafting it. No doubt that's why Trump wanted to get rid of it beyond the Bannon/Miller isolationism manifesto. Not to mention that the goals we set for ourselves were voluntary and adjustable. Guess you are blind to the list of people, including respected Republicans and neutrals, who believe we have made a horrible mistake.

One thing I've learned. A Trump diehard will never change his or her mind, no matter what he does. And guess what that intense, visceral loyalty is all about? Guess what Trump triggered and then fostered at every turn to create that very passionate and distorted base?
I suggest you read this to get more than a one sided vision of the Accord.

And knives, and pressure cookers, and airplanes.

"Let's ban guns (make them illegal) to make us safer"

"But that would only apply to people who follow the laws (law abiding citizens) and wouldn't impact criminals at all because they by definition do not abide by laws"

                  "Guns are bad"

"But what about all of the other ways that terrorists kill people, we can't possibly ban all potential weapons"

"We are talking about guns, guns are bad"

"But our military and police officers use guns to protect us, so it can't be that a gun is bad or good but the person using it certainly can be. Guns are objects, tools, and can be used for good or bad'

"Guns are bad, guns are bad, guns are bad, guns are bad..............."

This must be great news for USA and our own security.
Are these the same officials that ignored what was going on in Rotherham out of political correctness? 1400 children sexually exploited! I say the British officials have lost all credibility.

Tell ya what nutters. I could entertain SOME modifications of 1st amendment rights when you are ready to modify second amendment rights. I mean the latter would have decreased body count in Orlando and everywhere else the gun nuts flex their external death penises
Modify first amendment rights like on college campuses??? Thanks, but not thanks.

I think they were actually trying to ban knives in Britain at one point.

Soon to see a domino affect. Even Dems are concerned by leaks.... when they are using them for political gain.

I saw a guy on TV last night saying the bar is too high to go after potential terrorists even if they have been reported by members of the Muslim community. I believe two of those guys in GB were reported. The point the speaker was making is that viewing radical jihadi material should be enough to arrest these folks, like child porn. I thought that made sense.

I understand what you are saying...but not sure I agree. Where do we stop? Comedians threatening Presidents ("it's just a joke"), BLM threatening anarchy, Racists posting anti-government comments on FB?

                                Slippery slope.
