the coaches have ability to negotiate playing times for league games. i've seen kids fly off the field from one game to get to the next tho. it's awesome for U12 where there were kids getting limited minutes to have little ringers from U11 taking those minutes all to get the mighty win in NEP premiership league play

Select 101. They have been doing that with their U-littles for years.

They certainly would. A handful of 09s are double rostered and now start for both teams. Take those three and put them on their 09 team and it may even be a bloodbath.

It's no secret here at Select that the 08s are the black sheep. The club is using smoke and mirrors (double rostering their best 09s, avoiding playing other top 08 teams,etc...) to maintain the illusion that the 08s are still a top team.

Its a well known fact that Select 08’s top 3 girls are all 09’s. How did this happen? I can see 1 girl but 3 09 girls. Thats a terrible way to build a team long term. So now in the Stars tournament those 3 girls are going to have to play up 2 age groups. Thats a DISASTER waiting to happen. Good luck select 08’s!!

Apparently it’s not a well known fact that Select’s top 3 girls are 09s because it’s not true. 1 of the girls has been playing with them for 4 years (and deservedly so). She is definitely a top player. The other 2 filled in this year sparingly due to injuries.

I know this team well. Tight knit group of girls who have played together for years, but this is probably the next team to break up soley based on the lack of upside for this team. Like above poster said “terrible, non competitive league”.

It's certainly a good team who are out on an island. Wonder who might benefit from a break up out of Stars, Scorpions and NEFC GA.

Because they think every 09 they bring up is better and gives them a better chance to win. Shouldn’t be that way though. 08 dpl should definitely get the opportunity. Some clubs will give it some won’t.

Good luck to those 09's that are playing up 2 age divisions in the upcoming Stars tournament. That should work out great for those U-12 girls playing in a U-14 age group. Hope they match up Stars blue 08 and select 08 as 1 of the games so the U-12's only have to play twice against girls 2 years older.
