Hahaha stars blue dad better luck next time. This is a 2008 thread. It doesn't say Massachusetts 2008 thread.

All we heard from that Columbus Day Weekend was how good stars blue was. Meh! Actually very meh. Not only did my daughters team beat stars blue but they controlled the entire game. Unimpressive and very undisciplined was stars blue. Parents were expecting more from the so called best team in Massachusetts. Im not going anywhere. CFC here to check Stars Blue dad!

Just a little detail on how CFC works at the younger ages -- At U13 and lower, CFC choses a single branch team (in 2008 birth year its the Arsenal branch) to play the ECNL schedule. At U14, CFC holds a tryout and "unites" the best players across the CFC system (as well as any outsiders that want to try out). For the 2008 age group, there are two CFC teams that are about equal in talent. These two teams tied when they played each other in the fall. Once these two teams unite starting next year, you will see a huge increase in the quality of the team. Same thing happened to the 2007 age group last year.

Score was 3-0 and the game was even less close than that.

Anyway, this would just be another game that nobody remarks on if CFC dad had not spent 5+ posts being a jackass in the fall. Let that be a lesson.

if you want to surpass the 2007 board there should be NO games that nobody remarks on and half of them should be wildly inappropriate things you would never say in person to another parent or to a kid.

I agree with this post if you count the number of times Stars Blue players flops to try and get a call or how many times 12 year old girls yell at the refs or how many times the obnoxious stars blue parents pepper the ref with insults during a game. This is simply false. I have not experienced what you are describing. Furthermore I really don’t think this age group or their parents think they are the best. To the contrary, I think many of the families think their daughter is on the bubble and may not make the team for next year, but I am probably wrong. You seem to know a lot more than I do about the subject.

Yah, right. Idiot. I love posts like this. You ever try to get a 12 year old to actually flop? They never think to do it. And yelling at the refs? Please. I'm sure there's a couple of obnoxious parents on the blue sideline just like there is on virtually every youth soccer sideline. but i'm guessing most are pretty much the same as the rest of us - mostly just trying to figure out how to get the kid to practice on time...
