main point is Select GA 07's have a suitable goalie now and quite possibly a back up on the way as well. This was a huge problem for Select 07's last year not having a fulltime goalie and the team and club got lambasted for it - see tens of pages of talking soccer 2007 thread- but by March they could be rolling with 2 goalies. There was talk about moving the 08 goalie up, but no need for that and she can now concentrate playing only with the 08's. 08 goalie is a top 2/3 goalie in the state and would have fit right in with the 07's, but that would have weakened the 08's completely. Hopefully this is the end of the 07 goalie drama for Select and both the 07 and 08's are on very solid footing with goalies moving forward.Originally posted by Guest View PostComment

parent of younger daughter who needs to align herself with appropriate level team that will help her in this process. curious as to how this all works. looking at stars white schedule and the teams they are playing in FL don't appear to be highly ranked (using link provided earlier in thread). do college coaches recognize this when they are watching or deciding to go and watch a player? meaning if they go and see player 14-18 on stars blue play against perceived to be "better" competition do they value that more than a top 5 player on stars white? bottom line, if my daughter is on bubble for blue at her age group and doesn't make it, does white offer anything or is it just a massive drain on time and resources for where she might end up?Comment

He wants some advice from parents of 07's who have been down this road. Why not address it here? As a Blue parent all I can say, and this is our first experience with college recruiting, is that Blue opens a lot of doors. Having reached out to many coaches that will be attending FL ECNL showcase, the response back has been overwhelmingly positive. The email back from D1 colleges goes like this, " we can't talk to you directly until 6/15/23, but thanks for sending us your schedule and we look forward to seeing you play in Fl."
