Yeah , that is an impressive list no doubt, but GA worked out just fine for DD and all of her teammates in terms of college exposure and signing. If the kid has talent on any decent ECNL or GA team, coaches will find them. But sure, if you are on a team that is struggling and the kid has to do a lot of self marketing then going to where a whole lot of coaches are might be a better option.

However, with the 2007 and younger ages, the GA is now nowhere near where the DA was. Over the past two seasons, in order to have a viable national league where travel isn’t unworkable, the GA has added 30-40 clubs that are just pure filler. NPL or EDP level clubs. Aside from the 6-8 clubs that will always make Champions League (which are ECNL level) I just don’t see a quality difference between GA/DPL/NPL. I see the 2007 teams in our area (Aztec, Select, Juventus, Bayside, Liverpool, Oakwood, Seacoast, NEFC NS, etc…) as being pretty comparable. While kids will still be recruited from those leagues, I think they are starting in the back of the line.
On a side note, I never understood why the ECNL just doesn’t take the remaining top GA clubs and just crush the league?

Pick a team and coach that are a good fit for your player, doesn't have a long commute, works for your family etc. Somewhere where they will be challenged but not struggle. Being a benchwarmer on the A team won't help their development or confidence

Good luck in FL! Lot of great matchups for the MA teams.

There are a bunch of events around the country and every club has to attend two. Look at the team lists. Lot of east of the Mississippi teams for the Florida event, opposite for the AZ event.
I believe the FL & NJ events are two of the biggest, aside from the end of the year playoffs.
