All depends on how well your skill set fits the schools you targeted. There's definitely a big quality variation across all 335 D1 teams - and within each roster there will be variation from top starter to last bench warmer.

ALL about what you can do now and if an NPL player was good enough to get the spot they can fight for playing time just as much as anyone else. Did Stars tell you your kid will get more because she played ECNL?

that’s actually more than half of NE ECNL league and GA teams have. Think the kids can keep up.
Besides Foley and GB just play kick it far and go get it. Pretty easy to defend and play against with right players.

Lots of comments about what happens once the kid is in school. The issue is getting recognized to actually get there.
Of course it’s harder…just look at rosters. Impossible? No of course not.

Next year their 2008 team, who is even better, will probably have similar commitments. If that happens then it will be clear that great players and their families do not have to sacrifice everything because the ECNL is the only path to D1

Here are all the top 2007 teams in the Northeast, including NY & NJ, in order:
1. PDA Blue
2. SUSA
3. World Class
4. Stars Blue
5. NEFC
6. Match Fit
7. NYSC
8. Cedar Stars Monmouth
9. CFC
10. Scorpions
11. Aztec
Aztec has a better ranked team than more than half of the NE ECNL & GA conferences combined. The girls record against GA & ECNL clubs supports that. Pretty sure no one from the north shore is commuting to PDA, SUSA, World Class, Match Fit, NYSC, Cedar Stars or CFC.
Put it another way, drivable clubs from the north shore are:
1. Stars Blue
2. NEFC
3. Scorpions.
4. Aztec
At worst, Aztec is the 4th best club in our area, and in reality probably #3. Not everyone can or wants to play for Stars of NEFC. So someone please explain to me why it is any surprise that Aztec is on pace or ahead of any other club in our area aside from Stars Blue or NEFC??????
I'll give you a hint. The college coaches understand the league politics around here.
