One of the Revs commits this year graduated HS last year. There's also at least one other player who graduated HS but hasn't found a college. That's not to put that on the Revs, but to note that post-HS paths probably depend more on the player than the club.

Correct, and that player was not included in the Class of 2020 commitment figures above because of that.

Wait a minute--at least 2 of those 3 2021s committed when they were at other clubs. Same old nonsense from Revs.

They do it every year. A few months with the Revs at age 17-18 evidently qualifies as "development " to them.

Let’s see what club the players list in their school bios.

Not a good indicator. Those also are most likely to be last club played for, and many bios don't even have club info.

I think people are making too big a deal of this. Isn't it just standard protocol that when a player commits, the club he's currently playing for makes the announcement? Would NEFC/GPS/etc. make an announcement for a kid they developed for many years, but is no longer at their club? Maybe, maybe not. At any rate, a kid who has worked hard enough to commit to a school deserves some sort of announcement, and it makes sense to me that their current club takes care of that. I don't think a commit announcement is necessarily a claim that the club developed the player. That's obviously not the case for some of these Revs players.

If their previous club did a better job they wouldn’t have left for the Revs.

The quality of the commitments are rising rapidly. The #Haters are going to whine and complain like never before.

Wait until you see the new players headed to the Revs for 2020/2021 thanks to waivers. Game on!

Finally, a Revs supporter who admits that they haven't been attracting the best players in the area for years due to the waiver issue. If its true that they are granting waivers now, they may indeed start attracting better talent.

lol and it will be prep schools that help those players land good schools, not necessarily good soccer programs. Harvard soccer blows.
