You don’t need a waiver to skip fall. Waivers are required if the player is rostered. All the club needs to do is not register the player and bring them back after prep season. It’s a loop hole. Beachside did this with several South Kent and high school players.

It all depends on how the teams do in the fall. If they do well probably no changes. This spring, Scales brought in many HS players in the 17s and 2 HS players in the 19s

        NESJ interview

        From NESJ

I don’t know what they continue to say this? Don’t they know it’s literally the least an MLS academy spends? Well below the average...

“That straightforward question prompted a straightforward answer, according to club president Brian Bilello and academy directory Bryan Scales. Hence why – in addition to spending over $1 million a year to fund free youth programs from U-13s to U-19s, plus a U-23 team in the summer – the Revs have recently launched two initiatives.”

Was one of those "initiatives" a U12 academy team?

Doesn't matter what Beachside did. Revs are not giving waivers to High School players. That's an organizational decision. Bolts give waivers to some.

Yes, he invited some High School players to RDS and then rostered them this Spring. They are not allowed to play High School soccer in September 2018. The USSDA season runs from August to June, you with me? (10 month schedule and schedule)

The point of that article was to describe their new initiatives to better their Academy. All their initiatives are focused on finding new players. God they are so stupid. Brian Scales is just so clueless.

In June their contract ends for the 2017/2018 season. They go back to high school soccer in August of 2018 because they are not re-rostered after San Diego. They are re-discovered after the high school season. They are then added to the team for the spring season. You with me?

Not with you, you stupid, stupid moron. They WILL NOT re-add the same players taken last month after their High School seasons. They may, but the players need to choose to devote to the full 10 months of DA training and competition. 2017 was the last year the Revs Academy granted USSDA waivers. There's no loophole anywhere like you seem to think. It's an open add on period for full time DA players!! Talking about two separate things, you twit! Last player to be sent packing back to Brooks was the defender ML, last year (2017). That is all she wrote, over my friend.

You're absolutely right on this. Revs select rosters in June and expect a full 10 month commitment from all players. Training begins in late August. End of story. I think that daddy hopes his little Zlatan will get waivered so he's able to play for both Fvck Fvck High and an Academy team. Not happening, go elsewhere for that.

If a player is wanted badly enough clubs will do what they have to, including a wink wink for next year.

How many players currently rostered on the Revs played high school soccer last season?

Is there a USSDA loophole about not fielding a U12 team?

Is there a USSDA loophole about solidarity payments?

                            I'll wait.

I'm confused. Don't DA contracts expire every July? These children are basically employees at will.

Exactly! They can be cut at any point without cause.

Were the players the Revs added for the Spring already on the DA roster? Doesn't that prove to you that the Revs are willing to bend the rules and add new players over the Winter?

What makes you so sure that they won't continue the policy of "adding" players over the Winter, within the USSDA mandated window?

The U17 team is abysmal. They can still hold strong(wink, wink) to their "no waivers" policy while improving their team by "adding" players after November.

You may be surprised by the defections after this season. They may be in no position to stand firm. Backfilling people will be a real challenge because the talent just isn't out there waiting for an email from the Revs.
