Originally posted by Unregistered View PostThey can do the same thing next year - no official waiver, but like someone said a wink and a nod that they will be allowed back next fall after HS ends. Any club can do this by simply not having a player on the initial roster then adding them during the add on period. The caveat is the player has to prove himself worthy. Non starters and bench riders will not be included.

There were anti-waiver before but even they must see they may have to give some on that. Ct board said Beachside brought in a bunch of high school players. It's a desperation move for the most part as they were really struggling in the fall. The odds of a top player being missed in small states like CT or MA is low. If your club is strong you should have a sufficient number of public school players willing to give up HS ball, even more so at a free to play MLS club.

Also, not all HS is even decent soccer let alone good soccer. Tough to walk away from a successful HS program but not so hard if your program stinks or your coach is a dik, or both.

Originally posted by Unregistered View PostWill not happen. They made that very, very, clear last year. The mid season new additions (which btw, has never happened in recent memory with the Revs academy), are full time DA players until they are cut or choose to go elsewhere (including HS if they so choose). Revs will not give waivers out unless there are "extreme socio-economic" circumstances.
