Ontario basically has the same population as Massachusetts but look what they've accomplished with their Academy. Perhaps their richer talent pool is due to the diversity of Canada or perhaps it's the fact that ownership is fully committed. They don't even play in the USSDA. They compete in local Ontario leagues. Revs Academy is a joke in comparison.

All coaches need to be evaluated and if need be be fired. Talents wide the Revs DA teams are as good as any MLS DA. The problem is the quality of play are terrible. No concept of how the game and how it should be play. Watched their livestream and was appalled by the lack of organization, slowness of their game speed buildup and comfort with the ball. All I hear from the Monterrey side was coach yelling "Ripedo, ripedo" meaning play it quick. Team playing as a cohesive unit. Revs are totally opposite. Sad and shameless.
Philadelphia Union beat Monterey 2-1 two days prior (I didn't see it so can't comment on the game).

Is this the best New England has to offer or were these players just not ready to play that day?

The passing attempts and plays were attempted - Monterey read the plays better because they were just better individually and as a unit.

With Revs team I could tell what they were trying to do and it was all good stuff- but they could not do it well because the Monterrey players were just so good.

The U16's recovered nicely at the GA Cup. A respectable 2W 3L finish. Respectable for a sh*t
academy. Shows there's some talent there that overcomes the terrible coaching staff.
