So, Revs *may* have helped your son get accepted at an ISL, but your own financial picture led to any aid.
Clearly you have little experience with what actually happens in the private school arena.

Don't waste you time. He think he knows what he's talking about.

Probably no ISL was interested in his kid, hence the lack of knowledge

Lots of Revs players USED to be invited. What happened?

I have been through this route with my son. If you make over 100K, you are not getting any money from ISL schools. If you can hide your money somehow or you don't make enough, that is fine.

Get used to this since college is the similar. That is all of DA players should get some scholarship (12-15k) either athletic or "merit" (in the case of D3 schools).

If you don't have the money, your kid is a soccer stud and has SAT scores over 1400, you win and might get a free ride.

I am living proof you have no idea what you are talking about.

That's the key - if your kid is a stud for that school (athletically or academically) and they want him or her. I guess no one wanted your kid that badly

We have a household income in the $250,000 range, no house payment and substantial savings.. We get $41,000 in "aid" from my son's school.

Bingo. Parochial schools are restricted by private and ISL largely are not. It you have something they want there's plenty of "aid"

Still not up. At what point does US Soccer start fining them? Do they not have teams? Are they breaking the news to kids that they can't get waivers all of a sudden? Foreign players coming in still?

The Revs have full rosters with fancy professional photos. They may not be able to coach but they sure market well.

The revs U17 and U19 should do better this fall. Many competitors in their conference are much weaker than last year - Bolts, Beachside, Oakwood, FC Westchester are all having trouble recruiting good players
