Separate the two concepts so that there is no confusion. ISL gives absolutely zero money for athletics or merit (the latter being more surprising). Schools grant financial aid dollars when you don't earn enough to pay - that's why it's "aid".

So, Revs *may* have helped your son get accepted at an ISL, but your own financial picture led to any aid.

I have been through this route with my son. If you make over 100K, you are not getting any money from ISL schools. If you can hide your money somehow or you don't make enough, that is fine.

Get used to this since college is the similar. That is all of DA players should get some scholarship (12-15k) either athletic or "merit" (in the case of D3 schools).

If you don't have the money, your kid is a soccer stud and has SAT scores over 1400, you win and might get a free ride.

That's the key - if your kid is a stud for that school (athletically or academically) and they want him or her. I guess no one wanted your kid that badly

Bingo. Parochial schools are restricted by private and ISL largely are not. It you have something they want there's plenty of "aid"

Bolts FINALLY put their rosters up!

Still not up. At what point does US Soccer start fining them? Do they not have teams? Are they breaking the news to kids that they can't get waivers all of a sudden? Foreign players coming in still?

The Revs have full rosters with fancy professional photos. They may not be able to coach but they sure market well.

They made exceptions last year (in the spring) on both u17s and U19s. Neither team is going to make the playoffs without help from some top prep and public HS players.

The revs U17 and U19 should do better this fall. Many competitors in their conference are much weaker than last year - Bolts, Beachside, Oakwood, FC Westchester are all having trouble recruiting good players
