You first year Revs parents (particularly the Valeo contingency), have been fed grandiose ideas about you sons over the years by Williams, Brito, Comrie and company just to keep you drinking the Valeo jungle juice. The reality of things are that the Revolution, or any professional soccer academy system for that matter, here or abroad, will exploit your son to the highest degree imaginable. The Revs don't care about you, his grades, his behavior off the field, his family resources, dynamics, struggles or anything else. All they care about is filling a domestic/homegrown roster spot on the first team and save themselves from buying an International roster spot from an another team or using TAM. It's as simple as that. They do not care about the appointments to the YNT either. If they see a hint of talent, they will focus on that player while everyone else is expendable. If you leave, they will not fight, squabble, negotiate or try to resolve anything with you. They release players every June, will fill the rosters with others and the turnstile keeps turning.

I have very little respect for the Revolution organization but there is not one bit of truth in the quoted post. Boat loads of bitterness. But nothing else.

Valeo parents, welcome to the real world of professional sports and this absolutely pales in comparison to the child soccer factories in Europe and South America. If you miss Emilio telling you that your kid is the second coming of Pele, then I suggest you to head back to Valeo and keep getting your dose. The Revs will not do that for anybody, especially the over hyped Valeo players who have shown nothing to date.
