I thought that was all it does - marketing.

We also know the purpose of "top D3 soccer".

Let's keep that discussion on other threads for the resident lunatics. Point being there isn't much athletic money in men's soccer so it's really about the quality/educational fit, whether it be D1 D2 or D3. On the women's side it's a completely different story and no wonder parents of girls are lunatics

        not the op

So don't talk D3 soccer. It's D3 academics and oh yeah my boy plays soccer. Does anyone except players and parents care about a D3 national champion. I'm sure that impresses the boys at the country club

most people care about a d3 championship just as much as a d1 one. very little.

It's true. Everyone else in NE is just "noise".

unless you play for Bolts DAP ($6K easy per year) Revs is free and Seacoast DAP only charges for travel

Do they take everything out on your son?

Revs don't make much noise in DAP. Unless it's those D3 and occasional D1. Their goal does not match that of the DA out West or South. Is IS free

You mean financial aid. There are no scholarships with the bolts or any club team for that matter. There are very few on finaid - less than 5 for both teams. I know one of them is getting about $500 . This will pay for a few weeks of gas (LOL).

Out of curiosity - Do many players travel over an hour to Rev's practices. Are most of the boys somewhat local to Foxboro?

They come from all over- they've even had players from NH and CT. Being free and the only MLS team for many miles means players will do what it takes to play for them. Too bad the level of commitment from the club isn't the same.

Travelling far does not mean talented. Don't fool yourself.
