I think we're seeing just the beginning of this trend. There will be more Revs players every year looking to jump to European academies after realizing the Revs are pretty much a dead end for them. Those at the academy just to get into a better college will end up staying, but those looking to try making a career out of playing will realize soon enough that the Revs won't help them any.

Unfortunately many aren't pro material anyway. They'll find out soon enough. I'm not saying the Revs aren't always right or that they aren't a dead end - they are. But parents are the worst possible judges of their kids' talent

They have no clue who their best players are.

He was not one of their best players- not even close. The point is players who signed a contract and are not paying a dime to the revs should not be allowed to tryout elsewhere until their contract is over.

Interesting perspective. I guess relative to your own JV club, Bolts are second to Revs and have a differentiated set of offerings for young athletes who prefer to play multiple sports at a competitive level.
