So you're saying the entire team's parents have pissy attitudes and the mentality positive players are not on the team, yet?

    Got it. 👍

Let's not forget the Brazilians. I hear they are pretty good too
The Portuguese live and breathe soccer - Brazilians and Portuguese nationals alike.

The 2004s will save MLS and US Soccer. Thank god!

2nd generation Portuguese couldn't care less about the sport. Brazilians can't get their kids to practice and/or games. Been tried countless times. Mom and pop clubs cannot continue to scholarship and offer rides to them, just not sustainable for business growth. Once again, it's a dead market. Nobody is playing soccer on the streets of Maverick Square. Clubs have attempted many, many times to offer them opportunities, they eventually bow out because of life constraints.

They stick with town and high school soccer because it's close. That's the bottom line.

and free...Two of the high schools we play are choked full of them. A few kids lucky enough/good enough to have gotten onto club teams young (two are on our club team), but the rest are neighborhood kids. Poorly coached as well. We beat them every year. By HS aged it's almost too late. You have to get those kids young, and what's the likelihood of them being able to keep getting scholarships year after year, be able to make long distance games/practices as they get older? It's a great Disney movie story line but life rarely works out that way.

Pretty clear we are saying you have a pissy attitude and effected your kids.

When Portugal sends its team, they're not sending their best.

                      Just a friendly!

After reading part of this thread I can't say I'd send my kid to Foxboro. This sounds like the old Valeo thread.

Your kid has to earn his way there. There is no guarantee.

this thread happens every year - parents bit**ing about unfair treatment, Revs not caring, bad atmosphere etc. Only the Valeo contingent is a more recent twist this year....and Squeaky :)
