U13 Seacoast was not bad despite the score. Revs had a PK, a few chips, and a few good shots that went in. The goalie had a hard game.

There's a Newton kid on that Seacoast team.

Must be why they lost 47-1.

Yes he's from Newton. Not NU.

That is not why they lost. They lost because the Revs 13s are a very good team. Also because Seacoast is better offensively than defensively and the player who scores most of their goals and who they run most of their offense through got hurt in the beginning of the game. If you picked the top 11 players between both teams most would be Revs but I would say 3 from Seacoast would be in the running. That's just not enough to compete. Seacoast beat Revs 1 to 0 in the fall. They meet again later this spring. It will be interesting to see what happens.

Actually there is a NU player on Seacoast. It's why your superstar 04 couldn't do anything but score a PK. Our 04 is better than yours. 👍

How did the goalie have a hard game?

Both Valeo U13s started for the 14s. The skinny defender played the whole game.

Nobody cares. It is one game out of many. Kids get injured, sick and play up because of this and has trickle effect with all teams. Nobody cares!!!! You Valeo parents are certified insane!

Hey dumb dumb u11/u12/u whatever parents. The last Newton Revs player was cut during pre-season freshman year at a low level D1 college program. Reality Check? It should be!
                      Calm down CLOWNS !

Not to mention the Revs player who scored the 3rd goal used to play for Seacoast.

The Revs are practically begging Seacoast's big 04 to join them, he will be even better than his sister (Duke) and brother (Holy Cross) he would become the Revs best player even playing up a year.

Actually interesting info... This is one of the reasons that I'm not so sure about proceeding down a DA path with my 12 year old (and yes, he would be deserving of at least a look...). I'm hearing between other areas of the country as well as foreign born players who take roster spots, there's really not much of a shot... (And forget about a pro-career, I'm realistic there...). DA sounds like a pit of nonsense sometimes... I know 3 players involved and each one of them seems miserable!!

Also dumb dumb u11/u12/u whatever parents. The last Newton fool parent who drove all the way to NH 3 time a week to play for Seacoast barley played on a very low level D3 college team. Reality check? It should be!

At that age I'd definitely take a wait and see approach. It's unclear if boys ECNL will shake things up but I think it will some. More families are seeing that DA ain't all that, but up until now there weren't as many options. You are right that foreign and prep school players are landing the prime college spots. But there are many roster spots open to non DA plyers at lower level D1, D2 and D3 schools. He may also lose interest too - happens a lot in middle school. Finally, if he's good and as long as he's at a club with good coaching, he'll have opportunities at U14+. You don't have to join now out of fear he'll be closed out. History has shown there's a lot of turnover on DA teams.
