I'm sure they'll find a place to keep enjoying playing and most likely play in college, then graduate and get jobs like almost everyone else.

But it also shows that if a player doesn't have that extra something special, whether it be on the mental side (incredible field vision or creativity) or on the athletic side (amazing speed, balance, and coordination), no amount of molding will get the average/above average kid to the highest levels. I think it's great that they tried their best and we need tons more kids given these same types opportunities in order to find the few that have what it takes.
Oh, God, no. Can you imagine how many other good players will be shut down to give the "built- in coaches" an opportunity to promote their own kids? Some one has to sit so they could play. And if at the end they are still avarage, is the cake worth the candle?

Maybe it had nothing to do with the boys who are very talented, maybe it was all the parental hype, promotion, time/cost and associated pressure that was the problem?

Please say the Dallas move is a troll. They can't possibly be that crazy.

Love the game, not this nonsense.

They are moving to Dallas. He will be a coach for the academy.

It might be good for the kids in the long run actually.

Moving children to Texas for soccer is good for them?

To do it only for soccer is insanity. But if there are other reasons like job change, wanting to move someplace warmer/cheaper, family reasons...nobody knows for sure so it's all speculation

Especially when the kid/ kids don't make the academy team or ride the bench.

If they are riding the bench for Revs, it will be better when they are on the top team in DAP?

Have you seen a Rev academy game lately? Nobody wants to play like that. Nobody.

I'd rather my kid ride the bench in Dallas than at the Revs. Just making that team at all is an accomplishment. They're one of the best in country. We also know the Revs tend to pick their picks and ignore all the rest.

Agreed moving just for soccer is the definition of parental insanity, but there could be more to it all. For his sake I hope it isn't for soccer/for him. That's a heavy burden if it doesn't work out
