I just Googled “PL Sporting Soccer.”
There is no mention of him after December 7th, 2018. No offense, I hope the kid is happy and having a great time, but this whole narrative about his success only exists in the minds of his parents here on TS. He’s eligible to play for the USMNT in his age group. He hasn’t been called in. He’s eligible for Portugal. He hasn’t been called in.
There are readily available articles about young U.S. players in Europe, just not about him.

But since there aren’t any articles about PL or the others, it must mean they aren’t good.

The #1 keeper moves up to the 19 team.
These are not encouraging developments.

Even for the first team, it's clear that no one cared about results given how long Heaps and Freidel hung around. I'm not even convinced Arena will do anything except drag the team into excusable mediocrity which really shouldn't be that difficult in a capped league.

Hours upon hours in traffic driving to Foxboro or traveling to distant matches, disrupting the lives of our family members for this opportunity, those are just some of the reasons.
Winning is important because it qualifies the team for the playoffs, or top flights in the showcases. That translates into scouting by D1 coaches. That scouting can potentially lead to scholarships.
