It will not get better. The coaches will not notice you. If playing a role gets you on a college team down the road, great! But remember who your competition is. Scouts swarm FC Dallas games. The Revs, not so much. It's too bad because the Revs are sitting on slot of talent.

Or they my opt for academic scholarships to a top D3 schools. The different is that if your son is on a DAP team he already proven that he is capable of playing at a higher level. If your son is not on a DAP team has to be very lucky that a coach sees something in him. He will need to attend many ID camps just to get notice. And that is not a guarantee because if the coach has to choose between a DAP player vs non-DAP player, the likelihood is he'll pick the DAP player.

Originally posted by Unregistered View PostNo that is true, I am at all of the home games. Sometimes they are on the side with the parents, sometimes they are between the players benches. There are also scouts for US Soccer as well. All of the parents know and see this, whoever is arguing does not have a kid on the u16 or U18 team. Usually you see them with some article of clothing (hat, jacket,...) and a notebook. They might not stay for the whole game but they are there.

At the Dallas games, more like 10-15 per game.

If the rumors are true and the FC Dallas Academy player does indeed join the Revs, the players on his team will have more opportunities to be scouted. A skilled mid-fielder who can consistently put a good ball to that kid's feet could be noticed.

If parents aren't happy then why don't they just pull their child? There is no financial penalty. You've paid no money. We won't miss you.
