$4,000+ for club soccer in MA.

Bolts are NOT $4000. Dead wrong.

I guess you didn’t get your son’s DA contract yet.

It's TS so I take that with a grain of salt. all club soccer in MA is pricey and with DA travel it gets much worse. However, non MLS DA clubs are expected to lower their fees as much as possible to make it more affordable. That hits their bottom line - they either run teams at breakeven or even at a loss that is subsidized by other profitable non DA teams. Some clubs do make every effort to do so, others do not with what seems to be little pushback from USSF. Shocking I know that USSF doesn't enforce all its guidelines right?! IF non DA clubs can charge absurd amounts with much less training why not charge more DA? Anyway, if they're raising their fees substantially they're doing it because they think the market can bear it and/or they want to improve their profitability.

You are correct. It is not $4000. It is just south of $4300. U12 and U13 Academy for next year.

The Revs must be a nightmare if kids are quitting to move to Portugal

It's a great deal. Go ISL - a good education that sets them up for a lifetime, decent soccer and they'll land at a good college. No one is going pro, least of all at the Revs. Let them enjoy the game and playing in HS. Play at a decent club with good coaching, go to showcases and Id events. Look at the commitment lists - they'll end up at the same places as Revs and many other DA players
