This is how the Revs show confidence in players.
You have the wrong player in mind.

No illusions of grandeur here - I know mine isn't pro potential and that is totally fine. The DA system has served him well, but he's a starter. Also our HS sucks and our club options weren't great. There's essentially another team that sits most games and serve as practice cones for the others. Even among starters the average DA squad might have one NT camp invitee, a few more if it's an MLS squad. I can see that some of those non starters will leave for ENPL and it makes total sense for them. But then where do the new players come from to fill those spots? There's only so much talent out there. I think the system needs to shrink to better accomplish its mission

        US Soccer U15 BNT Camp

Gotta love the nepotism and politics involved with National Team camps and call-ups. Most of those 2002 DAP players play in their own age groups throughout the year and repeatedly get invites. Same old names with well known daddies. Elite players will dominate in their own age groups, not surprising, but worthy of national Team duty? America at its finest.

Keep in mind, MLS is pushing hard for the New York market. NYCFC and NYRB are the darlings of MLS. They desperately need to have homegrowns in those markets. Probably not the best players called up, but it just makes sense from a business standpoint. Yes, and it helps when a Reyna is running the show in New York. I just saw the call up names, agreed, not the best in the country. Same thing with U16 and U17 boys.

Playing in your age bracket is not a good indicator of true talent. RAE is in full force there. Bigger and more physical typically wins out.

Real question is will they add another younger age group. It'll be called U13 next year, but will be '05s (think, 04's will slot into their U14 program, Revs had no '04 teams this year)....

Revs presently have 4 teams. This change will actually add 2 more teams.

You sound like Carter from 103.3 AMP radio. Have you turned 9 yet? They will have to add u13 and u14 because their current u13 will be u15 next year

The Revs will have a combined 01/02 team as per USSF mandate in 2017/18. What that means is that the majority of the 2002's are going to be cut.

That is correct, a U16/U17 team. The current 2003's will move to a single age group (U15).
The 2002's are going to feel the brunt of the cuts.

Only 10 2002 spots up for grabs. Cruel.

Some 2001's as well will be asked to not return, no?
