That was uTinny. Nothing wrong playing rec ball and NPL now that they are older and skill level ceiling is more obvious. Sounds like it is a great fit for the family. Try to keep everything in perspective and enjoy!

Maybe they learned a painful lesson. They looked like idiots. Until US soccer can provide training and opportunities equal to those abroad (which may never happen and certainly won't be anytime soon) then players should be allowed opportunities to better themselves.

Aren't the Revs already supposed to be sending players to Portugal to train. The "strategic partnership" with Sporting was made back in 2014. Have any of the academy players received any benefit from this partnership yet? You'd think they'd send a couple players over to train for a week or two during the summer, maybe they've already done this?
