Aren't the Revs already supposed to be sending players to Portugal to train. The "strategic partnership" with Sporting was made back in 2014. Have any of the academy players received any benefit from this partnership yet? You'd think they'd send a couple players over to train for a week or two during the summer, maybe they've already done this?

Sporting took one look at an older team and went running for the hills. My guess is that the Revs are shooting for a lower level club in Portugal.

There are hundreds of thousands of "European-trained" players that are not as good as American players. American players going to train in Europe are still American. Having an EU passport doesn't make you a better player. Hopefully these poor kids will move back and get a decent education in America or they'll never get into a top college.
