And before you all jump down my throat, I'm interested because I've seen several of the boys play for a while (before they were DA) with my son.
Living vicariously through your son is one thing. But through someone else's son is a tad strange. (Especially when it involves playing for a team that embodies incompetency like the Revs.)

It really bothers you that you can't buy your way in doesn't it?

The only way you get in is to be talented and work hard. That is the best thing about the Revs. The boys know that they earned it themselves and not gifted to them by pushy parents.

The Revs (Scales) ruined both their careers.

Meanwhile the LA galaxy signed Efrain Alvarez (15 yrs. old) to a homegrown contract. Angking was worthy of a contract, so was Rennicks.

It will be interesting to watch the former player next year in a Bolts uniform before he heads off to Indiana in 2018 (unless another professional opportunity pops up in the interim). I'm not sure what's been going on with the latter player, though, since he left residency.

I don't think anyone would argue that players on the Revs are talented and work hard. The issue is a theme used often in playing the game: 'What's next?'

The Revs are a burial ground for talent and it is a shame, a sin, and a fact.

He's been with the Bolts PDL team since Bryan Scales kicked him out. He's going to Indiana next month.

Angking is going to a private school in Rhode Island for his senior year.

Seems like a lot of players (especially the younger ones), left the Revs for private schools. Is it trending or just a heavy recruiting year?

La Salle Academy hardly qualifies as a private school. But for Rhode Island, I guess it's as private as you can get. Their teams play the state's public programs. In any case ,what the Revs did to that boy was shameful.

It's about time the tables were turned on the Revs. Players using academy soccer to get recruited by the preps. Revs have been exploiting players for years now. Serves them right.

Sure, that gets the kids in. After that your development is a complete crap shoot and here are continual examples of careers flat lining once they get into the Revs. Good for the kids that parlay it into a prep school - they'll still develop and get a good education.

There are 3 former (2017 season) Revs players in Portugal and two or three others who the Revs were probably after on the younger side. 5 or 6 altogether. Add the players who have gone to prep and were suspended and you've got a disaster.
