What would open more doors for you on a resume, Harvard or UMass?

Development and opportunity are two different animals. Some DAs have great development and therefore the colleges flock to their games. Revs has crap development and some NEP programs probably do better but colleges will still prefer to scout Revs. These college coaches probably have no clue about Revs development. The best thing is to get your son to ID camps and put the DA players to shame.

Depends on how Harvard evolves and resists the coddling phenomenon.

I've seen a lot of dumb posts on TS but this one deserves an award.

Most be one of the stupidest posting so far. Bad coaching and ugly style of play do not mean the players are of poor quality. Revs always have players with good qualities. For some reasons the organization seem to screw up their development.

After 4 years of this, do you think Rev players will be the best in the area?

No what I mean is, after 4 years of that environment, will a Rev player still be one of the best in the area/region?

The Revs placement lists would say otherwise. There's some decent ones but not many. Go to the commitment thread from last year or years past and compare to the other two local clubs and prep schools. You'll be underwhelmed.

Note: I say this not against the players themselves but against the Revs so called development.

Much better than Bolts.Look at seniors from last season. A couple of Bolts started for local New England programs. The rest weren't on rosters. The kid who went Pac 12 left Stanford.
ZERO played out of New England.

College coaches only scout the DAP. End of story. Anybody playing in other leagues will have to roll up their sleeves and solicit interest from colleges.

Perfect, not a problem for those that want to succeed. They better get used to rolling up their sleeves, the best things are those that are earned.

This is the typical parent the local DAP programs count on to perpetuate the DAP myth. Lowell had one of the best college teams in the country the last couple years. Plenty of local players were very significant to their success. Zero academy players. Some came in. Couldn't get a whiff. A good coach and scout knows where to find real talent. For the most part, DAP ain't it.
