The Revolution Academy needs to make some changes.

Maybe maybe not, but the investment of time to get to the Revs practice and maybe sit on the bench watching the cluster f on the field is too much for anyone to take for more than 2 years.

it seems that the Bolts have been the beneficial recipient of these moves, or is this a rumor as well?
I know that some Bolts players have left but they were not offered academy positions and went to back to former clubs.

Not every college player is a DA player. Not every DA player plays in college. If you're already recruited and/ or you're not getting much out of DA would you pass up the last chance to play in HS?

Depends on the high school and what your recruiting coach wants you to do. That said, I know of few college coaches that wouldn't be OK with going to a top non DAP team. For the kid, however, imagine if you go to GPS, Stars, or NEFC and find that you don't start and don't play too much.

What if you go back to your high school and find that you just aren't the superstar that you, or your parents thought you were? Nothing is final until January/February.

Each kid and situation is different. Of course anything can happen in DAP or HS. Injuries always have to factor in both. Nothing is for certain. Kids have to make these choices, not the parents.

Historically speaking the college bound players that left DA to play HS soccer have had an uphill climb with their new coaches. Good luck, the player will need it.
