Can NEFC hold an indoor tournament?

Great idea, but honestly it's not the same game indoors even at 11v11

What are the odds of an NEFC winning the tournament in Bethesda based on their weekend performance?

A small 5 team local tournament is the perfect venue and should be used by more teams to test players. They really had no other options. Play against the U13's or play against the lower EDP teams. Maple Blue? Nah. Take it as a compliment that these were the perfect teams to test new players.

These kind of games happen all the time in NEP.

Sometimes the *parents* have to be shown that there is a reason playing time is not equal on top teams. See what happens when your son plays at this level? The team loses. Insistence on being on top team can be detrimental to a kid's development. Have him play on lower team until he is ready. Parent egos.

Despite 2 outstanding players, a decent offense and mid, NEFC lacks real team ability to take that tournament. WUP has more consistency throughout. That NEFC couldn't score on the hapless Valeo team indicates their offense needs to be much stronger.

In either case, they are clearly the best teams in NE.

Well WUP didn't score on hapless Valeo either. Hapless Vs had WUP pinned in for the last 15 minutes or maybe you missed that. It's a good lesson for Valeo, practice shooting or even a nonstop barrage of uncontested shots might not go in.

NEFC is the best team in MA then Valeo/WUP tied--can't believe the excuses(subbing) from Valeo-did it ever dawn on you that other teams that you have beaten over the last couple months might have been experimenting or does that only pertain to Valeo when they lay an egg-1 goal in 4 games is pathetic!!!

No. NEFC tied a Valeo team that the starters were only allowed to play 20 minutes together. Valeo totally dominated that part of the game and scored (though ref called an offside with 22 people in front of the goal.)

After that it was a slushy mix of players that could not stay in position. If NEFC wants to win this weekend, I hope they work a little more on scoring themselves. Good luck.

(and yes I was annoyed by the whole weekend as my kid and several others sat on the bench missing entire halves of games, not a fun weekend for us)

This was also another issue this weekend. That poor kid limped to his car barely able to walk. Sub the kid for Pete's sake. Get the striker off the bench! It was like w t f all weekend. EW wanted to lose.

Overall, bad management of the team this weekend, too many players, no offense (obviously.) I hope it is better next weekend because they will lose again.

I enjoyed watching all of the games. Valeo has a good team. Can you tell me which Valeo played versus FSA? A team or B team? Same score versus NEFC so i just want to know what i was watching?

Which kid is coaches kid? Thought Valeo coach did not have a kid on the team. NEFC doesn't but WUP does. Didn't see anyone from WUP limping to the car.
